Did i just buy my mate the worst holiday ever?

i bought me and my mates as a bday present an all inclusive holiday to ibiza..but i went on just the agent's reviews where it had 6.5 anyway..i just saw that people said my hotels like 45 mins away from san antonio town gutted coz our main aim is to party..whats worsened my worries is the hotel has bad reviews on tripadvisor- it's called rivera apartments and hotels.
I just wondered if any of you have ever stayed here and could give me your opinions? My good m8s from ireland told me not to worry and the hotels over there are often better..but I'm still worried as i don't want to give my mate a present of a crap hotel!
Hi, I stayed in the Riviera hotel in the bay in 2010 and am staying there again in September. We had no problems before and as we arent going to be in the room alot we didnt want to spend loads, so have rebooked. Our room was fine the last time, food left a bit to be desired but as somewhere to crash, it was good! In fact I stayed in alot worse in Ibiza! BN3 is just down the street where you can catch the party bus, and San An is 10 mins away by water taxi. Hope this helps.

To fatphil..I would not recommend Piscis Park, I've seen it advertised as 4 stars on some sites and unto £600 a room..it's not worth it at all and the staff are very rude. One of the staff called me a white bastard and that's not even a lie. My brother wanted to deck the guy because my brothers half black, and I had to hold him back! Along with that..the staff never clean. When I stayed at piscis park last year, someone's window got bricked too because some girl wouldn't have sex with another guy and they had a altercation. On top of that there was vomit all in the lift and the food was not impressive.
TBH as long as the food isn't poisoned in Ibiza I'm not too fussed as i have travel insurance+ EHIC anyway. But no one is ever going to be racial abusive to me, just because am white. I know a lot of british people probably annoy the spanish, But i even try and speak their language when I'm there and am nothing but respectful.

And to Evolution, my friends are like my brothers..family..so to book my friend this holiday was No problems at all..well I have bought this as a present for my friend, he's a good mate and never been abroad.
I'm hoping he likes the surprise..of an all inclusive holiday paid for him on his 20th birthday to Ibiza from me his mate.
Thanks for all the help everyone, I appreciate it as i didn't want to ruin his birthday by booking him into a dive of a hotel. I spoke with my other mate and he's said the same things as you, we will hardly be in the room apart from sleep so who cares? And he says it looks ok to him. Hopefully if we do have any concern's we will just ring travel republic when there if any problems. And thanks for the advice Kelly, i wanted to know though do a lot of 18-30s stay at this hotel? Or is it mainly families? Also what is bn3? I only knew about the water boat..how far is it from rivera to walk to west end?

Kinda off/on topic. Im going out to see my brother in California next week and fancied a night or two in SF to go out on the lash. Found this place at $30 a night but reading the reviews sounds more like a place you rent by the hour. The reviews are amazing!

As awful as those reviews are, for me they still don't top ''Woke up at 4am to see a looky looky man stood in our room offering us drugs and sunglasses''.

market st? think he means the foundtain area.watching all the people walk passed.you you like to eat out there seeing and hearing all the drunks shouting out.reason is no bodys knows them.i bet 90% of them don;t do it in there own town as people know them there.like i have said your nobody on hols but somebody back home.

Why do you need to be led around? San An will be very busy, just stroll about and go where you like the look of...

San Fran has a bit of a seedy side of town - has done for as long as I can remember. But it has its bad points too ...

PMSL. Thing is what's not reported is that they probably left the door wide open and forgot

Hey! It was a mix when I was there - families and 18-30's. BN3 is a bar selling tickets and has some pre-parties too, the disco bus pick up and some dj's sometimes stop in to play a little set - saw Judge Jules there ahead of Judgement. Would take maybe 20-30 mins to walk to the West End? Or about 7 euros in a taxi, 2ish each on the water taxi. The sunbeds at the hotel do get taken fast so if you are there in the day get your towel down early ha!

Oh right thanks kelly..thats made the hotel sound a bit more appealing now lol..:) and are taxis quite easy to get from the rivera? just i wanted to go to ushusia is it..i think its called one day..but I'm worried about getting a taxi back as i read somewhere that its difficult to find taxis and they don't always understand english etc

ushusia is very good.taxi are easy to get from playa den bossa.and yes the speak english.if not broken.just say your hotel name.get the buses to playa den bossa via ibiza town.

No probs MH88!! Make sure you do a review when you come back though so I know what to expect ha! Sure you will have a great time though ;-)

MH88, Taxis outside Ushusia and Space arent hard to get at all, its busy and the queues are long but they soon shift, to how busy it is also depends on whos been playing etc. As to transport from your hotel personally i find the water taxis the best mode of transport, they come every 10-15 minutes or so, their fairly regular and pretty much all day (from 6am-12am i think) and at 2.50 euros a pop it hardly breaks the bank.

If the hotel is a little out the way i wouldnt worry because like ive said above transport is never a problem, besides you might thankful its a little out the way when your suffering from a 5 day hangover and want some time to recover and its not so noisy it bursts your ear drums!
