Desperately Seeking Honest Advice

I have read the "Virgin in Ibiza" tips and lots of other information but am still undecided if Ibiza is right for me. I have been to Sitges for 4 years in a row and we're looking for something similar but in a new place.

My real questions is this: is there a place to stay right on the beach and near the smaller more intimate bars (within walking distance) like in Sitges?

I like the bigger clubs, like in London, but not a huge fan, I prefer smaller venues and walking to them. Ibiza seems, at least on the map, to be place where a taxi or car is needed to get anywhere, even the beach. I am not going on a tight budget, but neither on an unlimited one.

Can someone please guide me as tell me if there is a hotel on the beach, gay clubs within walking distance of said beach hotel and where I should stay if so? I really am almost ready to look to Mallorca or maybe even another country since the information I get on Ibiza doesn't seem to be what I am looking for.

Thanks for any real honest advice and tips.
 
Don is right. Figueretas has a beach and you can walk to Ibiza Town where you'll find plenty of smaller and gay-friendly venues along Calle de la Virgin. Sounds like just what you're looking for.
 
If you like the Sitges area then Dalt Vila is probably a good bet.

Similar to Mykonos / Sitges with gay bars/clubs and hotels hidden away and not quite as obvious as some of the Figueretas hotels.

Handy for all the bars in marina and walking distance to Figueretas and Talamanca beaches
 
Thank you Don Simon, Morbyd, vodka jon and McRackin for ALL your tips and words of advice. I really was totally lost and am doing research to find the place that best captured the feel of Sitges (beaches and bars) but different. My best friend and I will keep researching, and now we have much more information, and am sure we will have a great time. We're planning on going in July, around the 7th or so.
