Dennis Ferrer

personally; i'm not a great fan of his productions. I feel his sound lacks quality and depth. Definately not a patch on producers like Oli Lazarus & Marc Pomeroy imo.

Cant comment on his Djing prowess though. Seems to have a bit of a following so must be able to spin some :)

That comment is nigh on shocking Dam0 m'lad!

I don't think I've heard a record that (I'd assume) would have such cross-genre appeal as Transitions for a long time.

Very true.

Allow me to tell you about....

Dennis Ferrer's 'The World As I See It' gets a full release on Monday.

Arguably the best house album of last year. In particular, 'Transitions', an amazing record, which sounds fantastic played LOUD. As well as killers like 'P 2 Da J', 'How Do I Let Go', 'Son of Raw', Underground is My Home' etc etc etc.

hehee i stand by my opinion. I know there are alot of ferrer fans on here but i just dont rate his work as much as you guys do. I definately think his sound has improved over the last couple of years but i always find myself expecting a bit more. Whenever i like a section on one of his tracks it ends up being one where he loops it over throughout until i'm sick of it. Thats coming from someone who likes repetitive music!

Transitions is nice but its not one i'll remember him for. Not once have i listened to a dennis ferrer track and wanted to put it on again straight after. I'm not saying he is a bad producer by any means I just don't consider him to be the 'legend' that others do.
