Deleting those old hidden private messages

For those of you who've been around since before the forum software switch a few years back:

I finally figured out how to kill those old, hidden private messages :D

You go to the User Control Panel
http://www.spotlight-forums.com/usercp.php

It should show you 5 unread msgs. If you've read all your current ones, then they'll be some of the old hidden ones.

If you open one, somewhere on the read message page there's a link "all unread messages" which takes you to a page of all the hidden messages. :D

I finally have my unread message count down to zero, and more space in my mailbox.

Not sure if anyone else has posted how to do this, but I hadn't seen it so I figured I would. That glitch has been annoying me for a while now :lol:

i managed to get rid of those 31 messages a while ago... no idea how. should have kept them tho, as most of them contained addresses of the freeloading bastards who wanted free mix CDs.
 
I downloaded them as text before I deleted them.

I'm a bit of a digital packrat... got all my email dating back to the early 1990s!

Legend! I have been trying to get rid of those pesky messages for years!
