Does anyone know if DefMix has got any busier (and better??).. it didn't have the best reviews at the beginning of the season. :?
 
Last time i went it was bad. David Morales was in a right state and couldnt mix or play anything decent at all and had to be repeatadly dragged off the dex by frankie knuckles.

Its also full of locals obviously as its a sat night so if you're english expect to get a hard time :roll:
 
The music was extremely poor when we went.

Commercial classics that just didn't go together at all.

We only went cos it was Space closing weekend and nothing else was happening, even the bars in town were dead.

We should have stayed back at EsVive, the place was buzzin!

I thought Def Mix closing rocked last year, but I was proper twatted.

Even went up to Morales when he was DJing to ask about a record, and he told me to wait, and when he took it off the deck he gave me the vinyl and sleeve and evrything, and then got on with his job (I returned the piece when I next had the chance to speak to him)

I then crumbled like a 8 year old at a take that concert when I was going "Man, your a fcuking legend. I cant believ how good you are, all through my life, from DreamLover, to Plastic dreams, you've always been there for me" like a proper twat! and he was so cool about it all!

And, if you didn't have a grin from ear to ear tho at the end when Morales dropped 15 minutes of (and I HATED this song with a passion before this moment) Bazza White - My First last everything, then you must be nuts.

Everyone was hugging random strangers all over the place. Never felt so, erm, gay, in all my life.

It was like the finale in Bugsy Malone.
 
Have only got one proper Saturday (11th Sept) night out there.. so its a choice between Morales or Hed Kandi.. It seems Hed Kandi is likely to win..
 
Try and do both i always do! they are only across the road after all + while you're at it why not stop off in keepers enroute?
 
Probably cost is keeping me from both! :D I've got two weeks on the island to stretch out our savings for. Its just a shame that we arrive so late on the Saturday.. or do we....?? 2.30am to make it out for the night. :idea:
