Admitedlely Benicio Del Torro was there to balance out the celebrity stakes a bit + all of the island promoters were sat on those nice big VIP cushions as it was the opening party. So it wasn't all bad.
 
Looking forward to seeing Miguel Migs on 30th July......saw him at Southport Weekender last weekend and he blew the roof off with his deep and soulful sound!

El Divino is a great club - lovely to walk out onto the terrace when you're mullered and relax for a chat with some like-minded peeps 8)

I do say Defected label is defo one of the best labels out there. Gonna have to figure out a way to do both i guess. I'm just wondering who might Pete's guests be that night??? Anyone now if he usually plays first....last??? :!:

Miguel Migs was great the time I saw him too. Was talking to him after he finished playing and he was really cool. Kept saying that he didn't know how the big DJ's did it and his DJing was just a sideline to the rest of his music. He was a bit amazed when we told him that his set was as good as anything we'd heard, he was a bit astounded!

What is about Defected's DJ's - do they give them a modesty pill?

Angel Deelite in Manchester. Am really lucky know ing the manager and the staff of the club and also know the AD promoters well too. The AD crew have over the last couple of years held nights with a lot of the Defected\Soulfuric DJ's. Hence the reason I've met quite a few of them as we normally stay around after the clubs closed. It's a bit of a bonus!

I had no idea names like Migs played at Angel Deelite... I'm local to you - I must check it out soon! What's planned for the coming months? Anything along these lines?? 8)
 
Oh yikes... we've had quite a few down.. Brian Tappert (Cleptomanics),Sandy Rivera, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Kid Creme and Junior Jack, DJ Spen, , Jame Lewis, Dennis Ferrer, Knee Deep, Pound Boys....... that I can remember off the top of my head anyway!

The next guest night is Ron Carroll (Back Together) this Friday with a live PA. I'll be on the podium by the DJ box.. :twisted:

Right, got a few planned nights to attend over the next 2 months, then 11 days on the white isle, but you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be at Angel Deelite on our return!

The best nights at AD are the bank holiday specials on Sunday. They will be running a boat trip again on the Sunday evening, followed by Sunday night in the club. However, this weekend should be a good one as it's the 300th Angel Deelite night. :D
 
I'm from Cheshire, just near Northwich.

Boat parties - always guaranteed to go off! Really looking forward to checking AD out.
 
Is AD held at Club V? I used to go to Venus on the Saturday night - great space, always a good atmosphere in there
 
Venus @ V - used to be a good little night. Although the house could have been a bit more soulful, rather than just 100% funky party house, but we always enjoyed ourselves 8O
 
Venus still aims for the happy vocal house, with Angel Deelite concentrating on the soulful side.

Just being nosy, as I spent the last few years around V in both nights, and was curious if I knew you!! :D My other half used to take pictures and give out freebies etc in Venus, so he knows most of the old regulars! :D
 
Doubt he'd know us, only been about 8 times in total, we weren't that regular :) Although you never know, I do tend to make myself known!
