yes i have been to def mix at pacha with Frankie Knuckles playing, but was 2 years ago, all the other times i have been has been to see David Morales, Satoshii, and Hector Romero.

as for the kind of stuff he played, well if i remember correctly it was a mix of commercial house and underground vocal house, with a few classics thrown in too. i remember he played, shapeshifters - lolas theme, that track called 'flaweless' with george michael lyrics on, cant remember who does that, but he also played alison limerick - where love lives (place went nuts, classic track), and his own track 'tears', full intention mix. plus alot of underground tracks that i have never heard before, but he was very good and it was an amazing night as he has been one of my DJ heroes for years and years.

i would say go for definate, i seen him play last August in Cardiff too as its only 10 mile away from me and again it was a mix of a few classics, underground U.S House, and a few new tracks too, so its not wall to wall classics he plays. really nice chap too as managed to have a short chat at the end of his set

Double check when they are there as we went to Def Mix 14th July and it was David Guetta who was playing. To say we were dissapointed was putting it mildly.

Gardlands on Wednesday in Eden played lots of sing-a-long classics and had a great atmosphere.

David Guetta playing at a Def Mix? Very odd. Are you sure it wasn't David Morales?

Anyhow I went to Def Mix last year when the main man Knuckles was playing and he didn't play many 'classics'. He played it quite deep to be honest and then when quite latin and percussive for a while. Was very good. Crowd were **** though.

It was rank. Not a good start to our honeymoon. At least we got a couple of hours sleep before Space

Nice one..congratulations on your marriage. We spent out honeymoon in Ibiza last year. We're going back on Monday to celebarate our first anniversary. Only for 3 nights though. Don't think I could cope with much more this time.

Thanks. Congrats also to you and your wife/husband. Enjoy the break.

As over-rated as Oakenfold, this bloke.

8O I don't think Knuckles and Oakenfold can compare. Fair do's Oakenfold was instrumental in bringing house over to the UK but it didn't take him long to totally lose the plot when it came to good house music. Frankie Knuckles on the other hand is an absolute legend of the house music scene and disco before that. A fantastic DJ and producer who will always be held in high regard by house music fans the world over :spank:

I wasn't comparing them on their music policies. Oakenfold was just the first over rated DJ that came to mind.

There are far better DJ's out there, when I saw him he wasn't even the best DJ of the night and the others were just residents.

Oh well, I guess I'm alone in my opinion. Ho hum, each to their own.
