DC10 was defo open yesterday

I was told that inside was open and they had a few speakers on on the terrace but was not open like it was for the rest of the season.

The police put signs over the mixer, amps & turntables etc saying "Police - do not remove". Hoping for next season but not gonna hold me breath.
 
there was no dj on the terrace, but music was channelled from inside the club. the terrace was full & the atmosphere was said to be "good, but just not the same."
 
i was there - the terrace was open and they had a couple of speakers at the entrance which were blasting out the music from the main room.

i've never been before so can't comment on if the atmosphere was the same or not but there was a certain "defiance" in the air - some sort of protest as they were putting banners up and getting everyone to cheer. a group of people, including Jo Mills were up in the DJ booth dancing and waving at everyone.

everyone was certainly making the most of it. 8)

sounds like there's some hope then.

Someone else mentioned a heavy police presence searching loads of people?
 
My mate got arrested and taken to the police station for entering into a business transaction with an undercover cop on Monday just gone.

It was very amusing looking back now because on his way out the police guy made the security stamp his arm because he said he wouldn't be long and that he'd be coming back.

Be careful out there! Undercover cops in DC10 - whatever next!
 
it was pretty much like what you described when i was there the week before, except there was obvious presence of cops that week.

i really hope the place doesn't get shut down, it's my favourite club in the world!!

What happened to your mate when he got arrested?
 
They took him to the station and basically said that they weren't really after him but the bigger fish up the food chain. I guess u could say it was a verbal warning rather than a formal slap on the wrists. He was only in there an hour or so...

As I said, they made sure the security guy gave him a stamp so he could come back in so they were pretty relaxed about it.

I know you! You were in the apartment next to us in Jet for a couple of days in July before we left. We spoke a few times and I think I ponced some ciggies off of you. We last spoke the morning you had come back from Manumission and on your way to Space for the carry on??? I'm the short but perfectly formed shaven headed one!
