probably just a scurrilous rumour, but i was hoping the more informed members may be able to shed some light on this.
on my recent annual holier to ibiza i was talking to an english guy who is very familiar with the clubbing scene (if this was a newspaper article, he would be a 'well-placed source'! - he has lived on the island for the past 10 years) and he said that this was dc10's last season as the airport needed the land where the club is located. end of story.
like anyone worth their salt spreading malicious lies (that's the hope) he sounded quite definite about what he was talking about. Also, in the DJ mag on the isle talking about 50 things to do in ibiza etc at the end of the section re dc10, the writer cryptically adds 'enjoy it while it's there'.
this only adds to the anxiety!
my clubbing friend also said that space should also have been closed recently along with the other three clubs, but because of political connections etc, it didn't happen. that makes sense really since the majority of day-time clubbing in ibiza goes on there, though the bouncers are more vigorous there than elsewhere in their searches at the door (though this has little effect on the queues for the cubicles in the gents where we can only presume illicit deeds are taking place!)
