Thinking of going to the opening on May 25th. Can anybody give us an idea of what time to get down there to avoid crazy ques and possibility of not getting in?

This is a brucie bonus as we are away on a family hol so don't mind going early

Cheers

Seen that tickets are 50 euros (eek!) in advance. Will it be that on the door too and will there likely be any discounted prices with the ticket sellers on the island?

Blimey, it was 20 euros not that long ago.

normally there is no difference between pre sale and door prices at dc10. this is an exception as for every other club, pre-sale (no matter if online or on-island in a bar) is always the cheapest way

Hoping a lot of people who've confirmed don't actually turn up, but as the Space opening has now been moved back a week, the DC10 opening is now the only biggie for people there that week, myself included.

Do they not usually open the car-park anyway for the bigger nights? Especially considering the number of DJs playing.

I guess you mean the garden. last year it was open all summer, but apart from opening and closing it was usually only open for a few hours early evening.

Yes but even with the garden open (till midnight i guess) how will they manage that amount of people! the only possibility is have another stage in the car park.
What i don't understand is why space can't open that week-end and dc10 yes, of course it's smaller but 9000+ is like a space opening in my opinion!

Am I right in thinking that Space has more political ties/interest on the island generally anyway and thus won't want to be seen to be treading on toes. DC10 have always been outcasts so to speak and have done their own thing.

Baffling that Space didn't see this coming a long way off though. The elections were always set for this date?

got absolutely nothing to do with that.

yes the date for the election had long been set, but there are details that space couldn't anticipate.

believe me, if space would have known they never had originally planned their opening for that date. and changing the date was the last thing they wanted to do.

Garden open later than 12 at opening, and there will not be 9000 people there at all.

Fair play…who cares anyway I guess! Chances are if it had all gone ahead as planned we'd be sitting here moaning about the line up! Just gutted I won't get a taste of Space that week…will have to pop back later in the summer!
