Exactly.

If people do appear in the know, its probably because they are. The majority of people who go to DC10 go for the music. Their music.

Not to pose around with posey pop stars whilst listening to funky house.

exactly - who'd want to pose with sienna miller, kate moss or p diddy ;)

er - oh right....

everyone has known for years that dc10 only holds a bar licence for 60 odd people - this has been on the cards for donkeys...

tolerence is a two way street - one of the first rules in ibiza is dont take the p1ss

guys, guys, guys - let´s not get carried away ...

we´re talking about a club that has been closed for consistently breaking the law over a long period of time. The DC10 promoters and owners have known all along that their parties have been illegal, so it´s hardly fair to now blame the authorities for closing them down ... and god forbid ... proclaim the death of Ibiza !

It´s not a case of being singled out while the other clubs get away with ... the other clubs are legal venues that can now open between 4:30 pm - 6 am.

Space, Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege, El Divino, Eden and San Antonio ... that´s seven top clubs (ok, i use the term loosely lol) alone that you can visit during your time in Ibiza. And all of them will have a really good party each week at least ! Hardly something to panic over is it ?

I have been a regular visitor to Circo Loco over the summers in Ibiza and it will be missed ... but can i remind you that there are dozens more terrific parties that take place every week here that are in no threat of being closed down.

actually only 3 top clubs can open at 4:30pm as amnesia found out earlier on in the season, but i agree it will be missed but its not the end of world.

Now what's the deal with bora bora what they done now?

Yes, but would the authorities give them the correct license if they applied for it? The place could clearly hold more than 60 people and still be safe!

If you look back through this thread, I don't think many people are arguing the logic. Most understand the situation. The law is the law.

I think the consensus is just that people are sad to see DC10 go, and aren't sure yet what alternatives will arrive in its place.

I agree with you completely ... and DC10 will be a loss to many people who come to Ibiza. There was a really unique party vibe going on there that will be hard to match.

But it was just a call for a bit of perspective on Ibiza clubbing ... which is still in a pretty good state in my opinion 8)

No more Bianca Jagger at Studio 54 .... no more Hühnerdiebin at DC10

I am really sad if they will closed the doors really .... it a shame :(

It's a shame! I love DC10 and had my best ibiza experiences in there! The only plus side to it closing is that my feet wont hurt so much on a tuesday after a dc10/cocoon session!

... Just thought I'd lighten the mood with a ...
... "new" spanish euro-coin featuring homer simpson:

Was looking forawrd to sampling DC10 for the first time this year so a bit dissapointed, but it is quite clear they have seemingly shown a blatent disregard for the law and have been punished thusly.
Wonder if any djs/promoters will attempt to fill the void?

Circo Loco in ibiza will only ever be in DC10.

Truly gutted.

Me too. My best clubbing memories are definitely from Circoloco at DC10 so here's hoping that even though DC10 may open no more, Circoloco will. And the part of the fine for "noise pollution" is just utter **** considering that DC10's located at the end of an airport runway :spank:

Circoloco won't be the same somewhere else, but it could still be great in a sunny Mediterranean location where local authorities have more important things to do than pursue harmless clubbers and club owners. Maybe a big city somewhere? I would definitely go to Circoloco Barcelona or Napoli plus haven't they already had one-off parties in those cities?
