Unfortunately some of us remember him when he was on kiss in london when he did have a free reign. Nothing much has changed. Good luck to him but to be honest if I hear him on the radio, it's off in seconds....

In response to the original question though I would guess the Slinky residents and maybe Ray Davies who used to do the Euphoria nights with him beforehand. That's only a guess though because it doesn't look like they've announced anything yet.

You could also check the daily star every week as he tends to big himself up quite alot in that so they're bound to have it in sooner or later (think it's every Fri).

Heres a question for all you Dave haters - if you went on a 'blind' night out (ie. just went to a club without knowing what or who was on), and you didnt actually make a point of looking who was spinning (ie. you couldnt see the cap and rolls of fat), would you honestly be able to tell that it was Dave Pearce playing? Because anyone who has seen him spin a live set recently (NOT on the radio) will know that he is damn good at what he does, and I would even go as far to say that you wouldnt be able to tell whether you were listening to Jules, or PVD, or any other DJ many people regard as 'better'. Whenever I have seen him, he hasnt missed a beat, all his mixing has been near flawless (no DJ is flawless), and he has played exactly the tunes that the crowd wanted.

I have seen all the DJ's live that you talk about numerous times. To even talk about Dave Pearce in the same breath as someone like Paul van Dyk is laughable mate. I'm not into trance and hard dance any more but technically and musically PVD would wipe the floor with dave pearce and most other trance jocks.

It was a simple yes no question and once again you have written a whole encyclopedia about it (and many things completely unrelated to it) Im sorry I had to ask such a question but it was only in order to prove my point - it seems it is ok for you to say that Dave Pearce is crap and anyone who goes to see him must need their heads testing (ie. you are calling anyone who likes Dave Pearce mental), but its not ok for me to ask you (and by no means imply) what your sexuality is??? I appologise Sazz, but I am just trying to make my point. Its actually got nothing to do with whether FHK is straight or gay (because I really dont care! Just like she shouldnt care if we like trance), I could have just as easily asked "do you have blonde hair?" or "are you short?". I have nothing against homosexuals. I havent answered the original question because I dont know the answer. This whole thing has escalated from people posting replies to a simple question as "who is playing with dave pearce and slinky" like Timmi Mallet, Kieth Chegwin, the laughing cow, etc. that arent even funny anyway. If you want to discuss these things, it should be done on the open chat board, not on the clubbing question and answers.

And there are other people that are bothered. There are some certain people on here that whenever a thread remotely related to trance is created they start posting the same sarcy, unfunny comments. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Its not possible to actually start a serious discussion on trance on these boards any more because they just become littered with random rubbish

Which is why Im pretty sure you wont have made any where near as much money as Dave Pearce. You keep your high morals, let Mr Pearce have his big house, holiday villa, fast cars, holidays whenever and wherever he wants, etc, etc, etc (and big cap collection ). I know which life style Id rather, and when I was sitting in the sun with a drink in hand, retired at the age of 40, sorted for the rest of my life financially, I really wouldnt give a funk what anyone else thought of me. The underlying fact of this all is though, is that his records DO sell, his night IS sucessful, his radio show IS popular, in other words, you people that dislike him are in the minority. This is the 21st century people, everything in life is all about £££s these days. Yes, Dave Pearce may be remembered by some as a cap wearing, cheese playing, fat chav. But at least he will be remembered unlike most people...
