Now if they'd each pulled out a lightsabre and duelled on the Terrace then that would have just topped the story off nicely 8)

Don't think anything could have bettered the reality.

I prolly haven't emphasised enough how smug the girl looked during her 'prowl' and how f*cked off she was at the end

You see to me, that would have been the best part....... but on the whole, that sounds tremendous!!! One of those Ibiza experiences - that you can dine out on for years....... 8)

Who's Marques Wyatt?

Marques Wyatt rocks. He's a sweet house dj. Lots of local play in Los Angeles.

Deep is a great night in Los Angeles. If only I could get my friends to go with me...(they're more into trance than house music).

Can anyone shed light on my state of confusion....
I am finally making my pilgramage to Ibiza, after many years of being a true dance music fan. I am now into a very deep soulful house mode graduating from pop dance, and techno periods. The thing is I am a serious dancer, not a glamorizing boy toy.......what is the deal with the dress codes............how can you get a serious groove on when you can't wear trainers to hear the likes of Marques Wyatt? I am use to sweaty, serious groove heavens where it is all about the music. Does this not exist in Ibiza........how could I have been so wrong? :?:

Maybe I'm more proficient in 'Caned' language than the rest of ya ;) Sounds like he or she just wants to be sure it's cool to wear casual clothes in clubs so he/she can dance more easily.. :?:

Definitely my understanding. She/he just wanted to know why you would have to dress up in uncomfortable clothing/shoes...

That's a problem I have encountered in the States. In Los Angeles you can wear "sneakers" (our word for "trainers") to a lot of different clubs, but in Boston and New York, there are several clubs where you have to wear nice shoes--not easy to dance in.

cameras...

There may be a couple of sessions where people tend to make a bit more effort and try a little harder in the glam stakes but on the whole Ibiza is a place where the music rules.

Wear whatever you are comfortable with and go for it. Its flamin' hot out there. Get summat loose on and surf the acoustic waves.

You get very very little of the mad random door policies you encounter in the UK over in Ibiza . . . unless you commit the cardinal sin and try and take . .GASP . . a camera in there . .

My friend got thrown out of a club for sneaking in a camera...I don't understand it. If I want to take pictures of my friends and self, I should be allowed to, right?

It's good to know ahead of time the door policies...I now know not to bring my camera in. :(

I second that. In fact, I've been ranting about Marques for the past two years on this board. Deep and KingKing (Balance) are great spots for real house musica in LA.

Cheers,

Yes! I actually frequent King King...but not on Saturday nights. First Friday of every month is my friend's night--BASIC. John Do's the dj. He's great.

Oh! It's too late...I'm moving to Boston after 4th of July weekend. :(

I have a feeling my move to Boston will be quite scandalous...many weekend trips to New York to get myself in lots and lots of trouble!

:) 8O :)

I hope you have an extremely (that word is an understatement) good reason for leaving LA for Boston. I was there for a week a couple of weeks ago. What a poophole of a town! There is no comparison between Santa Monica and any part of Boston?

Just as expensive (this is without including the many taxes they have) as LA, and not to mention the lousy weather 6 months out of the year. Did you know that the Boston downtown area roadway is based on the grazing path of cattle herds?

I do not know what your stance on firearms is. I am pro-second amendment. However, irrespective of what anybody's stance is on the issue, S. Boston (E. Roxbury) is worse than Compton. You wanna be packing serious heat, 'cause you know the coppers ain't showin' up on time.   BTW, I am serious.

Oooh Lordy Lord!  Don't do this to yourself girrrllll. You are still young!

Oh...Boston isn't THAT bad! I went to college there--four years at Boston University. I met my boyfriend there as well. The reason we're moving there is because he got accepted to graduate school at Boston College--but it's only for a year. Then we move to New York--Manhattan baby!

I'm from LA...I'm sick of it. Too many posers and wannabe actor/models. I agree that there's no comparison between Santa Monica and Boston, but I'm only looking at Boston as a detour to New York. :)

New York doesn't compare to Boston or Santa Monica either--it's better! Much better...

I have not been to NY and hence, no comments. However, I just cannot stand the cold weather. Best of luck to you and your mon amour :) . I would still advise that an investment in a Glock 19 during your stay in Boston would not be a bad choice.
