Cue the Queen song... WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

They're only boring if you're losing to them ;)

Well, you have to agree with me that it's not the most beautifull football to the eye in Europe Morbyd 8O

Anyway, if Barça is not involved I find all matches boring, even tho when we went to that NBA game in New York it was very "cold" because we didn't mind about the winner

It really depends on whom they are playing, Silvia... and also which players are available for selection.

In the pre-season, the team played passing football with up to 20 passes in a row. It was amazing. Then they started the season defensive because Duff was rusty and Robben was injured.

When we've had Duff and Robben healthy, Chelsea have played some of the most beautiful football I've seen. 4-0 and 4-1 wins with amazing counterattacks.

Look at the 2nd Chelsea-Barca game. That was the best game of football I've ever seen. It was exciting. 3 killer counterattacks, then 45 minutes on the defensive, then a final push to attack to close out the game.

Against Bayern and in the first Barca game, we got more aerial because the midfield was clogged. That's why Drogba is such an asset.

So to say Chelsea is boring is too simplistic... which Chelsea? They adapt every game to their opponents. The team is very tactical.

Morbyd, I'm not a football expert, I'm just a barça suporter. I don't really care about other teams, and if they are foreing my unculture is still bigger.

I've seen three games of Chelsea and I didn't like the way they play. Don't have an idea of "wich" Chelsea was it, I only know I didn't find it entertaining or atractive. Three years ago I said exactly the same about Barça

get out of this one Rio...

dunno bout tonite... means nothing to me!

looking forward to spanking boro next weekend to confirm our place in the UEFA cup...

good luck to you... I'd like to see Spurs make it (even if you didn't help out with Arse last week! ;) )

I've got another important match coming up on Thursday when CSKA play Parma in the UEFA Cup semis (and I've got tickets 8) ) I'm hoping to see CSKA Moscow take home the UEFA cup this year.

Actually, just out of curiosity Morbyd, why do you support chelsea? I just realised its a bit odd for an american living in Moscow to support a London team, in fact it's rare for an American to follow Soccer at all!

Don't get too carried away mate, Stevie will end your run tonite then sign a new contrct after we've won The CL!!

Come on you REDS :!: :!: :D  :P ;)

I support 3 teams - Chelsea, CSKA Moscow and DC United.

I started following soccer (as we call it) when we hosted the World Cup in '94. Moreso once I moved overseas in '96.

To all in the UK who mock Americans and soccer, I'd like to point out that England and the US both went out in the quarterfinals in the last World Cup... to the eventual finalists!

Soccer has always been big in the US among kids (half my neighborhood played) but it hit a rough spot on the professional level when the old North American Soccer Leage (where, I might point out, Pele finished his career) went bankrupt in the 1980s. The new league looks like it's going pretty strong.

I got into Chelsea after meeting a bunch of the players and staff. Great people... and I'm as diehard a fan as anyone nowadays :D

So do you tip the states to beat Engalnd in the friendly that will be played soon?
If Lampard and Terry are out, as it looks is the case, we have a pretty good chance

Bruce Arena is a great manager... he took DC United to 2 championships in 3 years at the club before moving on to the national team. We aren't as technically good, but great physical conditioning. Should be a good match.

I shall definetly be watching on sky sports. The states tend to be written off but they usually end up giving England a very bad time.

I shall be watching tonight as well. Just seen in the paper that for Chelsea to win 2-0 and for Lampard to score first, the odds are 35/1. I like thoes odds. What do you reckon, Is Frank all scored out now with the two against Bolton?

Na, I reckon the goals have got to come from midfield tonight if Duff and Robben don't start. I anticipate a repeat of the Drogba-heads-ball-down-to-Lampard's-feet kind of goal.

2-0 might be optimistic, though... I think a 1-1 draw.

Robben is a loss.

Only one all. I don't know, I think Chelsea are on the crest of a wave, the premiership is secure now, they are on the final leg of an impressive treble and think that although Liverpool are strong and stopped Chelsea creating hardly any chances in the first leg they will really struggle to contain them tonight.
