due to the large number of festivals now the line ups are going to look samey! as has been said it feels like there is a festival in the UK virtually every weekend over the summer, and that is before you take the large number of European festivals that are swarming with british clubbers (hideout etc).Definitely too many. I think it has a negative effective on club nights. Wouldn't be so bad if some of the line-ups weren't so samey.

I honestly feel that due to the saturation of dance music festivals it is honestly hard for a promoter to make their festival line up stand out. The more savvy ones are now turning to non dance acts to give the line up a bit of differential from all the rest. Parklife this year is a good example of this.
I dont necessary agree with Ikoda on the UK Club night calender.....my night has always done really well in the summer months. Maybe a lot of a that reason is that we do the outdoor/strange venue thing for which sunshine obviously helps!
fair enough mate. my own view is based on how the summers have panned out for us over the years.I should of said UK Trance Club Nights, sorry! Haha. That's my only real knowledge, the scene dries up during the summer for us.
Is anyone thinking of doing Creamfields this year? I've not done a festival in at least four years and fancy doing one. Any other recommendations? (Dance music based is preferable)
