From Paul Oakenfold's my space account:-Notice: Paul will not be playing any Cream events through Summer '07.

a further elaboration

Oakenfold will not be doing the Easter special at Nation, any Cream Ibiza gigs or any shows in August for Cream

8O

i assume that the note about the august shows (it refers to late august shows)
means Creamfields is a no-go

wooohooo at last....last few times ive heard him hes been apalling, shame as he was always one of my faves @ Cream liverpool during his residency days

For me Cream "was" Oakenfold. Sadly no more but things move on. Long gone are the days in the annexe with Bleasdale doing the warm up with the anticapation Oakey was gona start his set with Flaming June. Probably wants too much cash now!!

well i just saw oakey in NYC saturday night and it was the worst performance i have ever seen, i can't even call it a performance it was so bad!

im glad he's not playing any dates @ cream

Don't think he's gone deaf like Frankie Wilde do you ;)

after his recent endeavours, Oakie would have to pay me to go and see him...

I'd like to say how the mighty fall, but I am sure he will make a very tidy living from his reputation.

I am one happy partier to know this! Thank goodness he's no longer there... saying that, I never did go to any Cream parties or any parties period where Oakenfold played.

if you've never seen him or ever been to cream, what a daft thing to say then.

as has been said before in this thread oakie was instrumental in making cream an international recognised clubbing brand, played a key role in the developing the whole scene in the UK in the late 80s and, although I believe he has gone too far, has raised the profile of the industry commercially helping to make it more sustainable at all levels, not just the pop charts.

oake in the courtyard is mythical.

I have seen him and I have been to Cream.. however at no time was he the reason for going, so I guess I should qualify my statement with that. I meant to say I avoided him like the plague, but I did have the unfortunate times of being at parties and clubs when he was playing alongside ppl that are good that I went to go see. Everyone says that he was instrumental back in the days for trance and I'm not contesting that. But it's 2007. And he sucks now and has for the last few years. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

very sad to see people slating oaky! He'll always be held in legendary status for me from his annex courtyard days
