Craig Richards - What To Expect

Folks:

On the 27th of October, I will be going to a warehouse party in LA where Craig Richards will be playing along with Doc Martin. Since he plays at Fabric, I am curious as to what I should expect.

I am pretty optimistic about the night as the organizer over the past few months has basically earned tremendous respect from me for exposing me to the likes of DJ Pierre, Carl Craig, Paul Takahashi, Francois K and DJ Harvey. In baseball terms, he is batting a 1000.

In case anyone is wondering what warehouse parties are like in LA; these parties are held in downtown LA in total oddball places like art galleries, run down garages, etc. (aka underground environments). The crowd is 21+, timings are 22:00 - 06:00, and the venue's location is unknown till about 21:30.

I was at first weary of going to a "warehouse party" in downtown LA. I thought it would be a bunch of teeny boppers with glow sticks, and also the thought of downtown LA at those hours did not sound too appealing, but now I have a 180degree opposite view. In fact, I'd rather go to warehouse parties with serious house heads dancing to tunes that I have never heard of than to a night club.

So, what should I be looking forward to on the 27th?

Have seen him a few times in london and also at Superfreq at DC10 . Id say more techno than house , a fairly wide spectrum but i guess it would fall towards the minimal box . Think Luciano , Villalobos , Cocoon but not as hard as Hawtin goes sometimes

I agree. Definitely more techno. When i've seen him he wasnt that great, but then it was just after Terry Francis who bored me to a coma so maybe it wasn't his fault.
