That’s me confirmed positive as well now. o_O

No smell first major sign although did have fevery achey symptoms for day or so before. Now lost my taste as well.

No breathing issues certainly not feeling my best or like a common cold.
Hope it stays mild for you mate, rest even.when. you feel okay

Day 10

Only symptoms remain cough, fatigue and no sense of taste or smell. Fatigue is really bad, I still box and train 6 days a week, just took half an hour to get out of bed

No more daily updates, will just let you know when fatigue gets better ?????

The only thing I'll add is flu has always been pretty linear for me, feel awful then gradually get better. This is more 2 forward, 3 back....

Hope it’s not too bad for you mukka.

If you are housebound I’ll get my missus to make a few meals for you and then I’ll drop them off at your doorstep.

No sense of taste is the best requirement for my missus cooking ? ?

Only joking, hope it isn’t too bad mate.

Get well soon matey!

that's currently the big question.

but let's not forget the/any vaccine isn't the only option.

we've got another 6 months until the island wants to reopen properly. so the other two options for which we've still got half a year would be finding some therapeutics that really helps and obviously get an efficient testing scheme in place. I know there are people that don't like this idea, but I for one am almost sure that, unless vaccine/therapeutics stuff suddenly moves very quickly (I don't expect that), next summer we'll only be able to have some nightlife IF we do test everyone that arrives here (or brings a test).

am hoping that for 2022 things will be easier already.

This will be a hard one to solve. It just doesn't look good at the moment even for 2021.

Pfizer vaccine is mainly for Americans and the others won't probably be around in enough quantity until later parts of 2021 early 2022. 72h Pre-testing is no guarantee and Europe is again running out of tests. Prices are already inflated at the moment and not guaranteed results are on time. Setting up infrastructure and fly in medical staff is hard to do in Ibiza. Capacity just isn't there to build this.

Its hard to get something that is close to 100% and clusters could form in Ibiza especially if nightlife returns to "normal".

It's one thing to gamble with a cheap ticket but visitors mainly clubbers that are further away and families are not going to gamble that they get denied or getting locked up.

Wonder what the tactic will be in Ibiza. Its a disaster in the canaries at the moment. Maybe focus on a lot fewer tourists and mainly rich people?

Ah good on you mate ? What weight do you box at?

I reckon if I got a strong dose of flu or Covid I might make it back down to Light-Welterweight ?
Middleweight in theory (if weigh and fight same day) but currently 13 stone 3 (heaviest I've ever been) and haven't fought in a good while . Drinking 4 litres of Lucozade Original a day isn't helping

Haven’t picked up on tests running out in Europe, is that accurate? That certainly isn’t happening in the UK and we are now seeing the introduction of instant test and result.

Re vaccine, other countries have bought the pfizer units. 20m in the UK for example but these will be issued to the elderly and key workers. More to the point, other vaccines are due to land imminently. The Oxford vaccine sounds very promising, in the UK 90m units are on order and it should be landing early next year. The challenge is storing and administering the vaccine. What I don’t know is what other countries have got on order and from who. I’d be interested to know the Spanish, Italian, French, and German status on this.

my gut feeling is somewhere in the middle between your stance and @Neo95gt 'pack the clubs'

busy hiking right now so it's a short reply only ?

Think the chance of the large clubs opening next year is pretty close to zero; in fact I suppose if the bars and smaller venues are open but still with distancing/masks in 2021 it will be a bonus. Outdoor parties? Probably with restrictions - so that could be a boost for the clubbers on here! Reckon from now it will take a year for all europeans to get vaccinated (remember you need 2) as there will be priority for certain groups first, then eventually young adults at the back of the queue.

In March I was hoping for a "normal" late summer; how wrong that was... as for next year I'm not booking, maybe even looking, until April at the earliest to see what will be open and how I can get there, what will be required (quarantining, testing etc) an add to that, Bloody Brexit (loss of EHIC, no doubt insurance will rocket and covid might not be covered) I've a feeling I'll be sitting most of 2021 out. Maybe Sept/Oct somewhere, even if it's not Ibiza.
