negative tactics more like.
played better last year cos we played as a unit. this year with signing of berbatov, and lennon coming on more, we've gone back into that relying on one player mode again.
we need a new leftback, left winger, a midfield hardman who can also play, plus a striker who offers us something different from the 4 we have got.
sell defoe, one trick pony, doesnt chase, all he does is turn run and shoot, at home.

I think Mido is a good player. just needs a run in the side and have the full backing of the manager.
as for yids wanting us to beat the arse... ffs, get a grip, its all about winning trophies/playing in europe every season.

At the moment we have a lot of good players very little leadership or mental strength and its costing us. How else do we explain our home vs away form.....Definately need some more character
Have to start considering MJ's role in all of this as well. Backing the guy but there are clearly some tactical deficiencies in that we seem to play the same way week in week out, little variation and little adaptation to the circumstances i.e. pressing/harrasing arse instead of sitting back and trying to beat them at their own passing game.
We are sh*t, and we will always lose when you least want us to.

I can see it now, Stuart Pearce gets off the phone from the FA last night at about 11.30 last night, locks up his office and as he walks to his car he can't help thinking he forgot to do something important. he pulls up at home about 12.05 goes indoors, switches on sky sports news and sees all the deadline day moves being announced then lets out a huge "DOH!!!!!"
