Comin At Ya seemed to be implying that certainly Pete Tong is cheesy, but has made disparaging remarks to people who like trance, and sublimal/defected kind of house

Hmmm...

I can't really say Pete Tong is a favourite of mine. His sets seem to have no natural flow at all, just am ashup of random tunes He's a radio DJ though, that's what he does...

Trance isn't really my music of choice either, and I find 'big room' house to be rather plain, but at the end of the day, does it matter?

We're all into the same thing really

going back to the tongy issue, if i may. I have to say that he is much better on the radio than he is playing live. His radio shows seem to flow, whereas his sets seem to struggle.....

Correct. I once stated that myself about Tong.

On his usual radio show he features many new unreleased tracks, where in his live sets he usually play old/current club hits and do a sh1tty work with the mixing.

I used to work in a radio station... the dance show was pre-mixed.

How do I know this? Because I was the guy who played it out every friday and saturday night!

I read an interview with Jules years ago, and he said that some of his shows are pre-recorded, though I think that was when he was on a Friday night too

In a club you will get an audience of a couple of thousand at best... on radio you could get an audience in the hundreds of thousands very easily, its really no time to be doing bad mixes. The show I played out was a recorded mix with recorded links, sometimes the dj would join me and do some live links too, but there was no way he could afford to f**k up the mixes.
