For those not in the know...

Coloursfest is Glasgows dance festival @ Braehead, this is the 3rd year and i've been to the previous 2 and had a great time.

Colours tend to book progressive house/house djs with the odd Carl Cox or PVD night thrown in.

However......

.......this is the lineup announced so far!

Gatecrasher arena - PVD/CORSTEN/LASHES/SAVAGE/MIKE PUSH

Soma Arena - MASTER H/SILICONE SOUL/ENVOY (live)/EWAN PEARSON/TO MIDDLETON

Hed Kandi arena - HED KANDI DJS

Back to the Future arena - TTF/ULTRASONIC/TOM WILSON

there are more to be booked but WTF!!!!!

Absolutely very little connection to Colours there.

The ironic thing is that Colours & the Colours message board get a lot of abuse from 2 areas - The Inside Out/M8 boards and Soma/Slam boards

Both of which are well catered for at this event.

Can pretty much guarantee that i won't be heading there this year - which is a shame.

going for the quick buck instead of catering for the Colours normal clientele.

Colours seem a little schizophrenic at the moment. I'd never thought you'd get Dave Clarke, Erol Alkan and 2ManyDjs at a Colours night.

But fair play to them for trying something different, although it must be a bit annoying for you.

Anyway, would just like to say I've never slagged off Colours on the Slam board!
 
Its the total abandonment of Colours music policy that baffles me Clara

They have always put the odd techno-tinged night (usually Carl Cox) so I can understand booking Clarke and 2ManyDjs/Alkan have tenunous links to house but this lineup so far is total ned-fest!

It would be like Pressure having 1 room with Tiesto & Armin and another with Judge Jules and Dave Pearce! :D :? :D
