This may may be un-important to some an hopefully important to many.

See you need to understand something. I'm an Oldschool die-Hard Deep house clubgoer. I have met many people and have made equal impressions on both sides. I'm 34 and I love house music and when I say I love house music it's from my soul. Up until this past saturday the 18 of december I had not really been clubbin for a while. So I was out of touch.

So I'll make it short - I went to CroBar(NYC) - SPECIFICALLY to see my favorite Artists. That Being David Morales and Junior Vasquez. Two of the most respected D.J.'s of New York City's Club scene. And I was astonished
by there talent that I would say they might be the Best at what they do. But that's my Oppinion..........

Does anyone wish to discuss this? Because I feel they need for some recognizing for the amazing job they continue to create after all these years..............

Happy Holliday's too Junior and David and may they continue to SHINE ON!

I'd love to discuss this!

Agreed on the Morales bit but Vasquez?

I went to catch him at Spirit (NYC) this year and it was without exception the worst set I've EVER witnessed in my entire 10 year clubbing career.

It wasn't even that he was having a naff night...he just wasn't trying.
The tunes were really souless, awful hi-nrg sh!te and he was mixing like a school disco dj (laying one track over the next & clashing all the beats).
Meanwhile, the dance floor was filled with screaming fans, "YEAH JUNIOR! GO JUNIOR! GET YER ASS ON THOSE DECKS JUNIOR!"
I'm still not quite sure whether they were hearing something different to me.

I also remember when he came to play in the UK for the first time. Naturally there was loads of hype surrounding it (97-98 ish I think) but his set was trashed by pretty much everyone who heard it over here.

...but having said all that - you live there so maybe when he's in the mood he can throw together something worthy of listening to.
But the amount of money he gets paid for a gig, you'd think he's at least try and deliver. I felt he was taking the Pi**.
The superstar DJ worshipping in NYC seems like a bit of a joke to me.
