COLEEN McLoughlin has really put her foot in it with anti-fur campaigners.

The fiancée of Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has already caused controversy by wearing Mukluk boots, which are made using rabbit fur.

Now she looks set to come in for even more criticism after defending her decision to wear them.

"Rabbits get killed for food, so why waste the skins?" she says in an interview with Closer magazine.

In fact, according to a recent United Nations report, few skins are now recovered from slaughterhouses, with as many as 70m rabbits a year being killed for their fur.

apparently his "nan" wrote to a newspaper recently saying that all the bad press that he got was unfair and that he was nice boy, who never swore and regularly visited his nan with gifts etc!!

Every time I watch an episode of Little Britain with the sketch that is based around one lad and his best mate - the the mate just keeps coming round because he fancies his mates granny - I just think Rooney!!
