In October CODEX meets Four:Twenty Recordings, the Bristol based label well renowned for quality underground electronic music. Representing Four:Twenty will be two well known names of the London underground circuit who have also delivered the latest two releases for the label: Heavy Industries’ James Mowbray and Secretsundaze’s Giles Smith.
James Mowbray is a busy man. Music journalist, DJ, promoter of his Heavy Industries nights and of course producer. A regular name on the Four:Twenty imprint he has also mixed 2 excellent compilations, the second one was out this Summer featuring tracks by Martin Buttrich, TG, Loco Dice, Daniel Stefanik and more. And this year alone he has released 5 singles for the label the latest of which called Time Fades Away is out now and sees him teaming up once again with D Ramirez.
Giles Smith has just ended another succesfull Summer of Secretsundaze parties together with his partners in crime. His busy schedule always sees him DJing worldwide and recently he has teamed up with Martin Dawson (aka King Roc) to launch the project Two Armadillos. After a debut EP on Steve Bug’s label Dessous the duo has just dropped a new EP called Butterfly Bee on Four:Twenty.
CODEX is a monthly party (every third Thursday). A buzzing midweek party for Londoners who know their music.
