Cocoon vs Circo Loco

I see Seth troxler is playing circo loco a week on Monday ...had wanted to do circo loco them cocoon, will need to see set times, but if troxler isn't on til 1am...be hard to leave early...which then only leaves maybe a couple hours at cocoon....

Troxler @dc10 vs Sven @cocoon....tricky as both amongst my favourites , have seen them both a few times & always enjoyed their sets...

So out of interest what would the board do?
Stay til end at dc10 then head to cocoon
Stay till end at dc10 then call it a night
Leave dc10 1ish to see Sven in full swing

Cocoon will not likely finish till 7.30am or later so really no rush. I arrived at 5am last Monday and reckon it was just getting on to the best bit. We all got kicked out at 8.50am. Nearly 4 hours in there was enough although could happily have gone on a couple more hours if it had been sustained at that pace. Was only just rocking enough for me by the time I arrived.

to be honest im up for going to cocoon after dc10 whenever troxler finishes (or at least see an hour of troxler), even if its only for a couple hrs in amnesia...it may be a tougher sell on the 40 euro entry for my pals though..

was there much of a q to get into amnesia at 5am? just straight in?

next monday mate ...im sadly still in my office in glasgow at the moment!:p

troxler posted a picture which listed his upcoming dates, circo loco was on it for next monday.

my cousin & her boyfried will be at dc10 today though...lineup i think is great.

q. amnesia...does the door price come down for entry at say 5/6am?

Ah - I saw you posted about being there with Gary Beck & Sven on in the main room .. that's tonight not next week :?

Re Amnesia, no I don't think the door price comes down if you go later but I don't know for sure. Cocoon can be up to 70Euros on the door so get tix in advance if you can.

gary beck & sven...dont think i posted anything about them mate...we dont fly out until the 8th & then sven is on all night in the main , carl craig & loco dice playing on the terrace (sept 10th)

cheers for the info about cocoon8).

the dc10 cocoon double header is my aim, will try and see as much of troxler as possible before heading to amnesia.
 
I'll be landing on Monday 17th for that also man, then on to Cocoon for Sven on the Terrace. Cannot wait.

Experienced the Circo Loco - Cocoon double header last year, best night on the island for me last time around.

Nb:They are big Ibiza veterans, worked summers over there etc.


'DC10 was pretty good, brawther played a good set. Crossan had some sound issues but when going it was good and ****** got a scarf from DJ Sneak.
A lot of disco trains and daft girls this year.'
 
i was there last night again after having given circoloco a miss for most of july and august. nicely busy (not too rammed which was nice). on the terrace, the vibe picked up when maceo plex played (last slot). dan ghenacia also had some issues with the sound (or was there some noise level control going on? i don't know). but they definitely need to sort their terrace sound system, it really does NOT sound good. the inside was rocking with sneak though.

i'll surely be there most of mondays for the rest of the season now, but i stick to what i said earlier in the season - it has lost that unique feeling it once had. these days i go more to meet up with friends there. and yes, the vibe is mostly best in september so there's hoping for a few really good circolocos!

can i ask why you think the vibe is usually better in september?
less crowding? less numbers from certain nationalities who may go more in july/august?

Couldn't leave DC-10 the other week "it's that good" so pealed away about 2 ish arrive at Cocoon after a shower in hotel and a bit more drink about 3:00 am Sven last 2 hors Richie come on at 5:00am until i'm not sure but I left at 8:00am!!! that's 5 hours Cocoon know loads of people arrive from DC-10. I had one of my best nights clubbing for ages on Monday last week... 8):D

i've been saying this for a while already - september crowd is the best.
a) the crowd is usually slightly older, it's the ibiza veterans that come back in september
b) it is less crowded in general - but parties are still very busy. and even though they are still very busy, the vibe is relaxed (can't always say this in august)
c) perfect mix of nationalities, very familiar atmosphere

I always say exactly the same things. I've Been June, July, August and September and September has always been the best times I've had there. It's amazing how the island changes from month to month. After going so much in August when I first started going to Ibiza, I now know that it's a nightmare compared to the other months. Amazing crowd and vibe everywhere in June and September.
