Cocoon Frankfurt

Quite simply the best club I have ever been in in the world, it's absolutely mind blowing.

We got down for 7:30pm to have a meal in the restaurant. Decor was superb and the food was excellent and well-priced considering the fact that it's quite an up market place.
It's soundproofed from the main room (which is 10 feet away !!!) and has dj's playing later.

Headed to the main room about 10:30. Toni Rios played an excellent warm up for Hawtin, who played 2-6, then Rios came on after again, bringing the pace down a bit with some big room electro tracks.
The main room itself has these mad little bright green "cocoon" seating areas and is split on 2 levels, with the dj box quite high up. Even the walls have these mad images projected onto them later at night which can be quite a head-f*ck !!! :D
Although i'm sure they didn't push the sound system to anywhere near what it can achieve, you could hear the quality - crystal clear.
The atmosphere was superb (we had had our doubts as to whether such a swanky place would attract the right people, but we weren't disappointed), and it was still going strong when we left at 7am.

With flights from Glasgow at 20 pounds, we'll be making it a regular trip, EASILY the best club I have ever had the pleasure of being in, and i've been in a few.

Bumped into people from all over, Belgium, north Germany, England.

Qaulity!!! :D

Ive never heard a bad review about this place, im sure after this season in ibiza, a trip is in order for maybe october time, where abouts did u stay Stu? was it near the club?

Stu - what area of Frankfurt is it in? Would you advise booking a hotel/B&B?

it's not far from the city centre, about 3 miles or so. Right off one of the main routes into the city. You can get some pretty cheap hotels.
Cocoon recommended Hotel Alfa to us, cheap and cheerful, within walking distance of the club, and all we needed was a bed for the night. Worked out at 40 euros each for 2 nights !
