Cocoon Closing

One of the main reasons I'm hitting Ibiza for the next 10 days, anyone got any info on tickets and /or prices for this bad boy? 8)

I think the pre-sales tickets are about 45 euro's.

does anyone know if you're still able just to pay on the door on the night? not 100% sure i'll go depedning on how DC10 pans out...but would be nice to know we could just turn up if it came to it??

obviously I realise it'll be mobbed as it's the closing, but wondered if you can still get in if you queue early enought?? also wondering what time would be good to head up there..

ive heard that cocoon has been getting really busy really early on so i wudnt go any later than 1am if u are planning on paying on the door cos im sure there will be quite a healthy queue to get in. especially as its the closing. im sure that just cos its the closing it isnt just ticket sales allowed. u will be able to pay on the door, i wud think it will be more than 45e though on the door, unless u have a flyer, may be able to get reduced entry on door with one

Thanks for that mate, providing everyones in a fit state following DC10 we'll probably head up there 1ish as you advise...

cheers

I think the pre sales are a bit of a red herring. They involve cash on delivery & I suspect they are for the German market only. Of course I stand to be corrected.

There is a sticky on the ticket forum that says the ticket prices for this night only come out a week before (ie today!). Alto last year it was 66 euros in advance and (clutches rosemary beads) 80 euros on the door!!

Come what may, I will be there.

if i remember rightly, Cocoon were charging 80 euros on the door for last years closing party. and something close to the 60 mark for pre-sale tickets, maybe even more. They were certainly rinsing it because they knew it would be busy. i didn't go but it was a full house for them...again. if you do want to go, i would suggest getting there very early.

last years closing ticket prices were fround upon highly by every outlet i spoke to ..... tho people still payed it :!:

so i guess it comes down to what morals Amnesia & the Vath camp have, as to how they go about pricing this years Closing...

I'd brace yourself for another 65 euro stinger!

väth said in an interview about last years 80 euros on the door that they wanted the door-price that high to make people buy their tickets in advance to avoid queues and annoying waiting time for the people.
of course 60 euros in advance is pretty expensive too... but hey - its cocoon after all!! you'll remember this night all winter!

ps: i would never buy tickets for a cocoon closing at the door - i bet you'll wait hours.

there is quite a bit of irony in this, 80e is absolutely dis-gusting to charge for a party, however, saying that, people will still pay.

i for one wont be there, id prefer to go to see sanchez. nothing against cocoon but sanchez's nite is absouletly rocking and seeing as im only there for a week id prefer to see the S man :D

IBIZA-VOICE: Cocoon set a record last year with the door entry price of the Closing Party. It was a controversial 70€ to get in. What was the reasoning behind that? Will you be continuing with that this year?
SVEN VATH: Well you know, good things have to have their price. We were already quite worried about the closing party, you can't send people home once they are there, and so you have to make somehow a kind of pre-selection.
So with the price, this is what we did. We were scared that too many people would turn up and be running all over the place, and this is what would ruin the quality, when a club is too full so with the price you can control this. I mean in the end even with the price the club was still really full...
And for the Closing we had already set up this after-hours party too, I don't know how many people turned up there, but at least 2,500 or 3,000 people, and we had all the security and organisations for that. Once Amnesia has closed there's a whole 2nd part to take care of after the Opening and Closing, we want to do something nice, but it has to be safe, it has to be secure, it has to have permissions and there's always fines, and there is a lot of people involved working for this.

what a load of sh!te

hes making a ****ing mint. for the amount of time you are gonna be there thats a ridiculous price to pay for club entry. theres no guarantees even if you make it to the end of the night you'll get to the closing party. sven might have killer dance moves but he's a prize fudd.

theres just as good lineups at dc10 and monza

whatever price they'll cost, definitely get your cocoon tickets for the closing party beforehand (in any bar on the island) and get there EARLY. cocoon has been jam-packed ever this summer and i am very sure it will be even worse for the closing. to be honest, with the hype they're creating, it is definitely one of the biggest closing parties and amnesia will almost burst next monday.

afterparty? ah let's see - hopefully they're having success this time again!
