has anyone ever been to this nite?

ive see that the closing party is on the monday whilst im there. and i really like amnesia. although ive only ever been for the cream parties.

this will be my 8th time in ibiza and by the lineup im guessing the main room will be really hard? but i love the terrace at amnesia, one of the best rooms in ibiza. whats the music like on the terrace on cocoon nites?

going to hed kandi closing at el divino, we love at space, defected closing at pacha, subliminal closing at pacha, and pure pacha closing at pacha of course.

so any info on cocoon nites will be great guys and gals
 
Depends who's playing but the main room at amnesia on cocoon nights isn't particularly hard,it's techno but not hard techno. Sven plays a big mixture of everything.

The terrace is lighter but still techno, imo some of the most forward thinking music will be on the terrace at cocoon with the likes of luciano, locodice and ricardo villalobos booked to play this season.

Probably one of the best nights on the island - go!
 
In a word you have to go.. but i'll elaborate a little for you.

Over the years the musics changed a bit but generally it has stuck to Techno of various forms.

Sven Vath won't be hard, the whole cocoon Myth that the night is full of hard Techno is crazy, you'll hit it in parts but not for a whole night. Like has been said he plays a big mixture. Hawtin will be more Minimal but it will get more pumping than ploddy at Cocoon (Not Hard :lol:) This will pretty much be a general rule with anyone that's on with Sven.

As also said the terrace is a touch softer but still gives you the best in Techno, it's also a bit cooler on there :lol:

I'll upload some of my photo's from the night later on so you can get a feel for it.

There's also a fair amount of house music played, Pascal FEOS dropped Donna SUmmers I Feel Love as his last rack before Sven came on last year.

If you want to be Proppa Skool get dopwn to DC10 before about 5pm as your warm up for Cocoon by the time it finishes at 12am you'll be well looking forward to Cocoon!
 
Best night on the island - FACT!

You'll experience sich an amazing night, the music is always unbelievable, so many tunes you've never heard of, but can dance all night too. It's not any harder than the main room at space IMO, everyone thinks Cocoon is going to be really hard techno but Sven plays a lot of house, electro, trance, a mix of everything!
The crowd really makes it for me, I'm yet to be in a club with such an up-for-it crowd.

I love it! :D
 
cocoon @ amnesia is a must while in ibiza ! villalobos sven vath n richie hawtin 3 of the best djs on the planet switch between the terrace and main room and u wont know which u want to stay in ! im sure u've heard of the ice cannons which are emmense and will be missed if cocoon is moved privelege for the whole summer !
prise urself away from pacha and get urself down here its one of the best nights on the island and as said b4 go to dc10 b4hand thers no warm up party gona be better than that :?:?
 
That is my exact plan we land in Ibiza at 4monday morning then at 8 striaght to DC10! Hoot!

Then on the night Amnesia cant FOOKIN wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

completely different way to the way my holiday starts on a saturday nite just chillin watch the sunset and that of course gettin drunk in the process but what else is there to do on a saturday nite ???
 
was it back at amnesia last night? i know armada is cancelled tonight.

loads of cool videos on you tube of last weeks opening 8)

I can just about justify that for a possible 22 hour Space session, but not for 6 hours in a club, with an afterparty charge on top of it. As someone said though, its a captive market. If DC10 do another CircoLoco afters at Privilege like they did last year Id probably just go to that instead or take a night off it.

That'll be the on the door price though I expect, it'll be cheaper before from other places.

Still a rip off though :lol:

just get there really early to experience the full night - fully expect it'll be pleasantly busy by around 1-2am (especially because last year at the closing they opened an hour earlier at 11 to accomodate everyone) and with a stellar line up you're not just dancing around to a few random DJs


sigh, really want to go :cry:
