Did anyone watch this?

This program was a real eye opener for me i couldnt believe some of the things that the smaller local Coca Farmers had to go through just to earn a living.

I was dismayed at how much we pay for it yet how little they make - said to Mr PL that I am going to set up a Fairtrade company (like they do with the coffee) but for Cocaine...

yea i watched it, was very interesting, its ridiculous how little they get paid, and risking their lives while doing it.

I know i felt so bad when i was watching it thinking how much i pay for it, its really made me think about stopping, i know my non useage of said drug will not make any difference to their lives but when they did the story about the man who was decapitated and thrown in the river and then both his parents dying from shock i was literally in tears.

Ive already booked a ticket to the Andes to get myself some coca leaves!!!

The most shocking part was the drastic change from the governments shipping the coca leaves out in helicopters to then spraying the fields to destroy it.

I thought the beauty contest was a fair result though.
