Clubs...if you could only choose one...

I choose Space.
Pacha is great but too people worried about their image and outfit and looking down their nose at others.
Amnesia depends on the day. Fab or terrible.
 
ROBO: Partly true im afraid, not to be a snob but when i go to ibiza i want things to be a mixture between kiddy fun and glam-evenings! some nites are glam in the vip section, waering my best dresses - some nites are more: eden-jules-ill-get-drunk!
 
I gotta vote that if there was a 24 hour "must have" in Ibiza - SUNDAY AT SPACE into MONDAY AT DC10. You can't beat the mix of music styles, people, dress (or lack of dress!) that the back to back We Love/CircoLoco packs in. I know I was supposed to recommend one - but I can't think of one without the other!!! :P
 
Space (Sundays) and Pacha (anyday!!!) are a must, but I'm disappointed that no one has mentioned El Divino :? , quality location (Millionaires paradise!), great views over the bay and with nights like Defected, Miss Moneypenny's and Hed Kandi, surely it ranks as on of the best places this year!!!! :)
 
i think el devino is one of the few clubs the inhabitants of Ibiza prefer, and its for a mature audience - its not that big, havent seen it from the inside - pictures anyone??????
 
Thanks for all the responses. Looks like Space and Pacha have gotten the most votes. Maybe we will hit one of those but, before we decide, does anyone else have an opinion regarding El Devino? The two posts that mention it make it sound rather intriguing. Thanks.

if you rule out the 5 other clubs just becuz people in this forum mostly are house people, then youll miss a LOT of the action, if you ask me!
I honestly really liked Pacha despite the music, but Space, im clueless.....

You schould try different venues - and different nites.......you will be surpriced of the difference and of the variety of musicstyles all the clubs have. Just an idea for you, so youre not only stuck with one thing. AMNESIA is a great club, PRIVELEGE is a must see, officially the worlds biggest club and ES PARADIS is worth checking out also, but maybe not as important as they dont have any real good nites there this year.

check out the pages here in the spotlight for more info, but please, do yourself a fovour and try different stuff! THEN decide whats best for YOU!

Thanks for your help. Here's my situation. My husband and I along with another couple are sailing and we have only a couple of nights in Ibiza. The sailboat we are using is in Formentera and we arrive there on Saturday July, 26th. We plan to stay in Formentera a couple of days then sail to Ibiza. We will moor in Ibiza town one night then somewhere on the north end of the island the next night. Then on to Mallorca. We will spend a few days there then leave the sailboat and ferry back to Ibiza to catch a flight to Madrid then home. I am already exhausted just typing this!!! LOL!

So, to make a short story long, which I have just managed to do, :D we really only have one night in Ibiza to stay out late. The sail to Mallorca will take 8 to 10 hours so we will need to get an early start.

We can go to more than one club but we have only one night. Also, I don't know where the clubs are located. Are they all in San An? The location could make a difference.

In view of all this, what do you (or anyone else) sugggest? Thanks again for your help.

We will want to go to a club on either Sunday or Monday night. It depends on how long we stay in Formentera.

Try and go to Privelige for Diva explosion as it looks realy good and privelige is worth seeing.The hype of manumission doesn't really live up to expectations. Also Balearic people is on there and gets a lot of people in without all the bullshit. Privelige is huge and you can get lost there has a main room with an olympic size swimming pool plus 2 other smaller rooms and also an outside bit. The problem with the main room is the sound can get lost up in the huge ceiling.

El devinio is good, its smaller than the others but produces a good atmosphere although many playboy types go there is also a lot of clubbers that go to dance and have a good time. Its small and cosy and when you go at the right time the atmosphere is brilliant. Moneypenny's have been there a while now. They are joined this year by Hed Kandi which will surely be a good night. Defected are there as well as Tom Novy with his night Follow me who have the support of Bora Bora. El devinio is looking good.

Pacha is really nice and is holding some good nights its my fave place to go, I just wish they would remove some of the seating, its not really a full on bangin type of night there where everyone gets sweaty its more of a glam up and and boogie to the house tunes. There are a lot of regulars and locals that go there and they expect the music to be at a slow pace and not get too hard. Expect to see beautiful tanned guys and girls, don't expect to see anyone with there shirt off getting too sweaty.

Space is good on a good day but go at the wrong time and it aint that great. Sundays at Space is when it really comes to life on the terrace.
Or inside Carl cox is holding nights there which look promising. Space is the one place that you can go to in the day and have a club like atmosphere, full of the wierd and wonderful and many happy smiley faces.

Amnesia is probably the most breathtaking place on the island, when you walk in you don't just hear the sound system you feel it vibrate your bones. It also the best lighting, lasers, video screens and the most unbelievable smoke machine. This year is hosting Trance with cream, Techno with cocoon and house with Ibiza feeling amongst others including a gay night. Has the Main room and the Terrace plus a VIP section.
Its not as pretty as the other clubs but it definitely rocks.

Pin Up is the new boy and is a pretty nice place. Has a big open terrace with a nice big long bar that holds about 1500 and an inside bit that holds about 1000. The problem is that its not fully established yet, we went for the izit dance opening and they managed about 80 people inside. The soul heaven opening opened at 4 on the terrace and had about 150 people there until we left at 12. Hopefully it will get going in july and aug when its busier. They have some good things going on there and Garlands will probably be the big one.

I have been to Eden once for Retro and hated it. there is absolutely nothing wrong with the club the sound or anything like that. But trying to dance when the place is full of drunken idiots and people who aren't into the music was a nightmare. I should imagine that Judgment sundays would be a lot better for trance lovers. If they get the right people in then some of the nights look pretty good.

Es paradis is the pyramid shaped club that inside cascades from the outer edge down into the middle that fills with water, alright if you want to get wet but i didn't like it.

Never been to Dc10 ( was supposed to be going last week but things went bad ) or Summum or Inox so can't say much about them apart from Charlie Chester runs Circo Loco at DC10 so its not gonna be crap is it.
 
If you can only go to one club---make it Space!

Having just returned to Cali after spending a week in Ibiza (including the Sundays at Space opening) I have to say Space is not to be missed. We also went to the Cocoon opening party at Amnesia (VIP, Sven Vath etc. :D ), and the Pacha Underwater Party. On our way home we got to see Digweed live at Deep in Madrid.

I don't do drugs and that is one of the really great things about Sundays @ Space. It is going on from 8am to 6 am. We went for the morning (something we never have the opportunity to do in the US!!!) and had a blast. We went to the beach, took a siesta and returned for the evening. I had a difficult time enjoying Pacha and Amniesia for very long because by the time they really get going (about 4-6 am!!!) I can't stay awake any longer. I had to leave in the middle of Sven Vath's and Digweed's sets :cry: because I was sooo tired.

The terrace at Space is THE place to be as far as I am concerned. Ideally you should experienece it in the morning AND at night. It has a very warm, freindly vibe--perhaps it is because 1/2 the people are on X but it didn't bother me ;). Find a place in front of the fans and get up and dance :!: And don't miss Lawler's set--he rocks the Terrace!!!

Pacha is very Posh. It has lots of little cozy places to chill and a couple of different floors with different music (hip hop, in addition to house for example). Very classy establishment, convienient to the harbor. Gets going around 4 am--don't show up before 2 am.

Amniesa is big, loud (your body will vibrate and your hair will stand on end!!!), and does lots of great effects (lasers, go-go dancers and other performers in costume, shots of icy cold air up your skirt (if you are on the main floor).

Further thoughts.

Pacha is i think the best club in the world, glam, beautiful and decadent

.....however

Space is something that capures the sprirt and wild hedonism of the island
 
:) for me it´s amnesia and space....... although i had a grrrrreat time last year in Pacha...... we went twice because our friend always could get us in for free, but really pacha is worth the visit
