Hi All - I'm off to Ibiza on 31st August for a week and have discovered that I'll be there for the Clubland Closing Party at Eden. Does anybody know which artists will be there for it and whether or not I should get tickets in advance? Thanks - K x

i recommend never buying tickets, i don't mean in advance, i mean ever, not for this chav fest anyway!

A true music lover (even of your limited tastes) would have more respect for other peoples choices. There's getting to be more and more musical chauvanism here,it's getting ridiculous!
Like it or not you are all buying a commercial product so try and have a bit more understanding for others.Your tastes are no better, only (slightly) different to the next persons.

well first, you don't know what my tastes are and second by putting 'even of your limited tastes' you have shown lack of respect.

it is an Ibiza/music forum where, at least how i see it, the banter about different music styles, preferences etc are very high, if you're gonna be over sensitive about these things then you're in the wrong place.

A bit harsh coming into the thread to have a dig.everyone has there own taste in music

it's all banter, i think most of this forum everyone is having a dig at someone elses taste or style or prefered dj etc, again there's no point in being over sensitive about these things!

But for someone who's on here quite alot you can tell which threads are banter amongst regulars etc.
Tis easy to see this post was from a newbie and is a genuine question, if you can't give decent & serious advice is there any need to comment?

andy, I say limited tastes because you make it clear where you are coming from at all times.
Of course there's banter, but in this case the op asked a simple question and was answered by a mod,you still felt the need to show your superiority by throwing in the term chav fest.Unnecessary.

Cant agree with you more.

Too many people seem to enjoy taking a pop at people on here if their taste does not quite match that of the norm.

decent and serious advice? i thought this was a forum where people had a laugh, well at least i think that applies to most people on here!

if someone is gonna ask a question on a public forum, then people have the right to answer the question, just because you didn't like my answer isn't my fault.

i think it's 'that time of the month' for a few spotlighters today :p

Im with you Andy. I would recommend that you do not visit that chav fest that is Clubland. If however that's your taste then go for it..

SSHHH don't say chav fest Shane people might start crying :p

If people are gonna take what other people say seriously (especially me) on an internet forum, then more fool them, that's like taking everything The Sun newspaper says seriously.

Also I'm sure Kirstie couldn't give two fu(ks about my opinion on what good music is, i know i don't on anyone elses music taste on here, or indeed in 'real life' 8)

i'd say that the point is that a newcomer came here, started a thread asking a question thats important to her and its descended into a musical taste issue/slanging match

This.

Much as Morbs took some time for his skin to thicken up to our affectionate insults, our new pal here might take a little while before you've indoctrinated her to music popular with less than 0.001% of the population:p
