Clubbing this weekend - within 3hrs drive of London?

I'd recommend giving Sankeys a miss.
Really had enough of that place. We went on Saturday night to see Kenny Dope and had an absolutely awfull time.
Bought tickets in advance so we would definately get in. Queued up for 25 minutes to get in the court yard, queued up for another ten minutes in the court yard to hand the coats in. And then queued for another 20 minutes to get in the club. The bouncers are really rude and arrogant. Bit of a Manchester thing I'm affraid. I'm getting too accustomed to coming down south to go clubbing. At least the clubs down there show you some respect for spending your hard earned cash.
It gets better, Kenny Dope ended up playing Queen, Nirvana and loads of Black Eyed Peas stuff. We went to upstairs to escape it all and the DJ up there was absolutely awfull. His mixing was terrible. Theres definately a case for getting So.... in the second room.[/quote]

Angel Deelite at V Bar is always good on a Friday night. I think they're having a residents party this weekend.
Recommend getting there early though. Its only a small club and they lock the doors about 12ish
