Clubbing in the UK

Me and a few of my mates wanna get away for the weekend in the middle of Nov. Wanna try out some nightlife in other parts of the UK. Anyone suggest anywhere decent? Been to a few places like Liverpool etc, but wanna try something new. So if anyone knows of any good places, with good music over the next few weeks, let me know! :)

I am sick of London clubbing

I think Manchester the warehouse parties look very good. The middle of November, which I must say is the best time of the year  has some superb line ups

Yep those Manchester warehouse parties look really good, can you get flights from Edinburgh - Manchester, I only said London cos I know you can get really cheap flights sometimes, much cheaper than trains and much quicker

Where would you suggest going in London? Dont know London all that well!:?

Sheffield

- The Plug which always has good nights - 3 rooms - lots of underground stuff

- Gatecrasher1

- Urban Gorilla @ Club Unique ...... a friend went this last weekend and said it was amazing!

- PinUp club @ Club Unique or Fez (can't remember)

- Hustle @ Matrix

Always a good, friendly crowd in Sheffield. There's rumours the legendary Arches may be re-opening sometime (the original and best Gatecrasher venue, pre-trance may i add)

Loads and loads of fab late bars which also double up as clubs

Sheffield's clubscene not quite so good as back in the 90's but still loads more going on than say Manchester/Birmingham.

Leeds

- Speedqueen

- Etc

Again, lots of good bars

:D

Someone i know went recently. Said the venue & sound system were good but the crowd absolutely shocking. Loads of students stood around the dancefloor with beer bottle in hand - erm, not good!

... still, early days.

You're spoilt for choice - you've got all the big clubs like Ministry www.ministryofsound.com The End www.the-end.co.uk Turnmills www.turnmills.co.uk Fabric www.fabriclondon.com The Cross www.the-cross.co.uk then a million and one smaller clubs and also lots of one-offs. Check the individual club websites for listings.

www.dontstayin.com is quite a comprehensive guide for all London clubs.

The good thing about London clubs is that they're all open til at least 7am and then there's always 101 aftershows to go to afterwards, right thru til at least Monday if you really want  That's why I've got really lazy and rarely venture outside London for clubbing these days cos you end up travelling half way across the country for a night that shuts at 4 when I'm just getting going

Definitely go for the Warehouse parties in Manchester. Amazing line-ups and it's only on until Hogmanay!

Don't go to Brighton for the clubs! Brighton is more of a summer bar place.

London, Manchester or Leeds

Do the clubs still shut at 3/4 in Brighton or have they extended them now due to licensing laws, we used to go down to Brighton quite regularly clubbing but I always felt so cheated when the clubs shut at 3/4
