Have you ever been to Japan.
There are some great places there - Velfarre in Ropongi Area for instance, or Earth (a place where superstar DJ´s often play) - highly recommended, I have had the pleasure of going 3 times to Tokyo - the place is awsome!

i have a mate who did 6 months in japan last year as part of year out before he went to uni last september.

And, he said that if you went to the right places there was a wickid up and coming dance scene. But you really had to hunt hard for it.

He also said that they LOVE ferry corsten out there.

I'm not sure whereabouts in japan he was based.

yeahm I stayed at the sam hotel as ferry did when i went there. He was a really nice guy, and we had a chat. Apparently he was signed to the same label Avex I was doing some work for, so I got an exclusive edition of his album with special tracks on it....really cool! Back in the days were he was a better producer imo....

Yeah trance is huuuge in Tokyo now. Not so hard to find good tranceplaces anymore out there.....Ayumi hamasaki is really good, a japanese artist who released a special remix cd with ALL the top tranceproducers! I mean them ALL!

Jamesthemonkey, you schould go - but bring enuff cash - I have NEVER IN MY LIFE been to a place that expensive!!!!! :? - 10 Euros for a coke in a restaurant, horrible rates!

The Dance scene is indeed up and coming here. The Japanese are a lot more influenced by the United States than they are by the UK....as a result Hip-Hop is the driving culture scene.

Yokohama has really good dance scene too...
