Clubbing in Athens

A mate phoned me last night from Athens. He's there for work and wants to go out on Friday night (or Thursday if there's anything on). Can anyone suggest any good clubs?

The only place I've come up with is Venue - Nick Warren is playing there on Saturday, but it doesn't have anything listed for Thurs/Fri.

I know it's a long shot, but...anyone? :)

Good morning favouritist pink thing! I got a random call from Alun shouting down the phone going, "I'm in Athens! We can't do any work! I need your help!" and I was like, "Errr, I don't think I can help with carpentry issues mate...". But he just required my internet research skills.

I know, I think some of my friends have the impression that I spend my whole day playing on the internet! :lol:

I just ordered broadband for home. I need to get one of those wireless router thingies. I don't understand. :? :lol:

Everyone knows how helpful you are :lol: ;)

Don't ask me about broadband I'm clueless :? We got ours at our new house and it was the week after my mum and dad had been (my dad is my guru on all computer matters) so after me and Tom unsuccessfully tried to get it going we ended up having to call out an IT man - I bet he thought we were a right pair of mugs :oops: :lol:

I just ordered it and the bloke said it would be active in a week's time and I was like, "Doesn't a man come out to help me??" :lol:

I had the BT man round yesterday who was very nice. :lol:

I do hope so! Weirdly, I already know what I'm doing that weekend. I'm going to see Scissor Sisters at Wembley on Friday night, then I've got a friend's 30th on Saturday night. Perhaps Sunday lunch then? x

I was thinking of maybe arranging a Sunday lunch get together for when Sil is over - I think she NEEDS to visit one of Carter's establishments :lol: ;)

I'm not normally that organised - it's a freak weekend. I don't know what I'm doing this Friday either. :lol:

Babs, Sunday lunch get-together chez Carter sounds great. :p

PS. Course I helped the BT man. ;)

Who's 30th is it on the Saturday??

Yep I was thinking either Lock Tavern or Keston Lodge - we can decide closer to the time depending on nos and stuff and hopefully Carter will make an appearance in honour of Sil like he did for my birthday lunch that year :lol:

I bet the BT man left with a big smile on his face :lol: ;)

It's Claire the Hen's bday.

Perfect, that's that weekend planned then. Poor Carter will probably take one look at you and turn right back out the door, terrified that Paul's going to lurch out at him at any moment, roaring his name. :lol:

:lol: @ Claire the Hen (poor girl got married 2 years ago, do you think she's going to be called Claire the Hen for life :lol: ;) )

PMSL @ the thought of Paul bellowing 'Carter' across the Lock Tavern 8O :lol: Can we omit to tell him of these Sunday lunch plans, I have my future with Carter to think of and it's looking shaky after The Cross :lol:
