Club recommendation

Advice please.

I going to Ibiza this Aug with my wife and another couple + 2 kids. Last year we managed to negotiate a night out clubbing and went to Eden. Whilst we had a great night, we kind of regretted going there really as we missed out on the bigger clubs.

This year we are staying in San An Bay Aug 11 - 18, the Es Cana Aug 18 - 25.

I can feel the famous Cherry's are calling, but we are also considering Amnesia & DC10.

Help please!

btw, we are not into any hardcore stuff, just some funky house type stuff.

C'mon you Bassheads. Is there anybody out there?
 
I went to Pacha for Roger Sanchez and the F**k me I am famous nights, they were quite good although I am not really wise on what types of music are what but it wasnt really funky house.

I think funky house is at El Divino so I am told, Hed Kandi and the like.

Dude, if you're not 'hardcore' as you put it yourself and just want to enjoy some funky ****, Pacha is the place. El Divino is really easygoing too on most nights. I would skip DC10 if I was you (it's the monday morning sessions, that says enough)..
Space can be nice too for people who are not really looking for freakyness. Just go on a sundayafternoon and enjoy the terrace.
Amnesia is a tough one to classify. Some nights are just wicked and others are not. I myself don't go there to much so you should ask other people. Heard 'People from Ibiza' is a really cool, baleric (and quite funky) party though!
Anyway, talk to some other people to get a good idea of what you wanna do and have fun!!!

I changed my mind, do not skip DC10!!! It's one of the most bizarre and special places on the island. It's a damn shame to skip it while you have the change!

I'd go to Space for a Sunday daytime sesh - midday til midnight on the sunset terrrace, stay longer if you want to/can on new terrace/inside but a daytime sesh on the terrace would be just what you're after ;)
 
Thanks for the quick responses guys.

Not sure our pass out away from the wives & kids would stretch to a day time time sesh, so will pretty much have to save Space for another time. I really fancy Pacha, it's just that I've read so many good things about DC10 also. On top of that, I remember seeing video clips from Amnesia in the airport on the way home and it looked amazing.

Geographically, is it better to get to these places from SAn An or Es Cana.? From what I can see it looks about the same either way?!?

We could possibly all go for a meal (maybe Bamuddha Grove again from Es Cana) The women & kids go home in one taxi, while we venture on to Pacha??

Alternatively Sa Capello, then a club, or KM 5 then a club.

Decisions, Decisions. All advice more than welcome, as I have some many ideas of what I want to do, but only a small window of opportunity!!
 
Pacha and El Divino are about 20-25 minute taxi rides from San An. I think it'd be about the same from Es Cana too. Both are in the Ibiza Town marina area.

Amnesia is in San Rafael, beween San An and Ibiza Town. That would be closer to San An than to Es Cana. About 15mins.

Bambuddha is on your way from Es Cana to Ibiza Town. Pacha would be on your way back from KM5 to Es Cana. Anyway you work it, you should be fine!

not logistically possible. pacha closes around 8am. they'll only be thinking about preparing your main course in bg by that time...........

I guess your not a fan of Bambuddha Grove then?? We all thought it was really nice. A couple of us opted for the buffet selection, while a couple picked off the main a la carte menu, then we mixed & matched.

Which is the the best night to go to Pacha??
 
If you want some funky house I can't think anything I'd reccommend more than the Hed Kandi night @ El Divino.

It was the highlight of my holiday last year, definately worth a bash if you like your FH. 8) 8)

Tried to get into Pacha but it was full and by the time I was at the front of the Q my ticket had expired (sh*t 2am expiry from hotel purchased tickets :spank: ).

Thanks for the advice MBourner. I think I have decided on Subliminal - Pacha or Hed Kandi- El Divino. Just not sure now whether to go during our first week While staying in San An or the 2nd week from Es Cana??

Is it about the same distance from either place? (25mins?)
 
Ya, I'd say so. There's construction and more traffic on the Ibiza-San An road, but you've got narrower, slower roads on the way from Ibiza to Es Cana. It's about even.
