that's true but this year the new bosses of san an have settled in and they seem to mean business. the sala/pantaleoni combination is popular and they get things done.
btw i read yesterday that a dealer found with 16 e's was sent down for 4 years. this somewhat goes against the 20 for personal use 'rule' publicised by the bbc the other week.

I reckon BB will have a cover charge this year, at least I wouldnt be surprised if they try to do this.
R1 - is it on the same levelas previous year? I thought it was going to be a smaller, scaled down version - not that I will be attending.... just curious

Discos To Close at 6am.
The Town Hall in Sant Antoni told a meeting of the local security committee that for the sake of road safety they were going to make the big discos on the Sant Antoni to Ibiza road finally close at 6am as the law says they should. The Town Council have changed certain by laws & practices so that if the discos continue to break the law by not closing on time then, the Town Hall will be able to close the disco in question straightaway for up to several days instead of fining them an insignificant fine as they have in the past. The closing of the discos quickly in this way in the height of summer can apparently be justified as being carried out to stop the continued breaking of the law, which will be the case if the discos do not close at 6 as they should.
Also to improve road safety in the Sant Rafael area all cars parking on the verge will be towed away this summer & new road safety signs will be put in place to stop drivers breaking the law by doing such manoeuvres as U turns. The traffic lights will also be working this coming summer to slow the traffic down near where the 2 big discos are located.
This new way of punishing the discos for supposedly continually breaking the law over closing hours can & will also be applied to other businesses if they break some law continuously or disobey some council order.

There are rumours that clubs in Ibiza will have to close at 6am, what are your thoughts? (Pacha closes at 6am anyhow but beyond that what could it mean for the people who come to dance outside in the sun?)

If closing times are 6am then you can normally get away with another half hour or an hour either way – that is six or seven hours clubbing and I have to say it’s plenty. There are daytime places if you want to continue, but if not there is a fantastic daytime side to Ibiza that I think everyone should enjoy. There are also people who live on Ibiza and who have to get to work and take the kids to school etc, so I think clubs having to close around 7am is OK.”
