i made it a sticky lest anyone should miss the hypocracy which permeates this site, you know what i mean, the holier than thou attitude, the air of superiority because a few people on here like the same thing and shame on anyone else who doesn't. this by the way while stating that our island is where you can do what you want, wear what you want, and be what you want.
Your getting awefully deep there, Stephen. I'm afraid your point may fall on untrained ears.

thanks morbyd.

i am accustomed to this happening - i teach a group of nine year olds every tuesday and thursday!

i made a post like this last year shortly after joining, and it must be a question thats asked an awful lot. i agree this forum is very cliquey, but most forums do have a clique. thank god theres no post count here, that tends to make things worse! I can understand how older members find newbies posts amusing when the same questions they've heard before are asked again and again, but it doesnt help when your new to a forum to be ridiculed (although I'll admit Ive been guilty of it in the past myself  )

Kaz, might help to take a variety of clobber with you. I dressed down for El Divino closing night, and everyone was dressed up. So the following night I dressed up a little for Amnesia closing party, and everyone was dressed down. I made the fatal error of chucking on a pair of boots, cause I didn't have any light shoes that went with my shirt. I was so knackered the next day I didn't make it to We Love Sundays @ Space closing party 8O And considering Space was meant to be the highlight of the holiday it was stupid.

Main thing to remember is, your on holiday, nobody knows you, and your in Ibiza, nobody gives a damn, everyone is very friendly and accepting. Locals and tourists alike. When you goin to Paraiso? Im meant to be going in August but my mates are fannying around and we still haven't booked (they wanna go for 1 week only now :( )

Ps. dont take boots

it's certainly got funnier since you started a debate!

yup, it has

i didn't tell the girl what to wear, just found the others posts funny!

I thought poster was a boy hence why I said wear short sleave shirts doh  , I guess the name KAZZ gives it away. oh i'm having a blonde day.

Advice for clothes then Kazz, it depends if your a girly girl dresser or prefere more jeans, and a nice top etc? Anything goes really, clubs such as pacha, el divino everyone tends to make a bit more effort.
End of the day wear whatever YOUR comfy in, or turn up naked!

I thought so too at first
How does the name KAZZ give it away? Is that a British nickname of some sort?

Hi Morbyd, yes Kaz or Kazz is short for Karen (british girls name) you are let off not knowing this as your Russian, I however am a dizzy missy!

Actually, I'm American... but we don't have that nickname for Karen in in the States. In fact, I can't think of a standard nickname we have for Karen.

Oh right, how long you been in Russia then?
We also shorten barry to Baz, carrie Caz, sarah Saz etc. oh and Sharon to Shaz or Shazzer!

Yes, but then It's bad ettiquette to not bother searching for two seconds when a noob could have found the answer to her question.

It's just plain rude IMO, and thery deserve everything they get.

In general, I agree with you... There's a lot of people who ask, for example, about hotels when the Spotlight site is chock full of easily-accessible info and reviews.

...but what keyword would you search for her question? "clothes"? ya... I'm sure there's only a few instances of that words showing up in a post! To be exact, 571 matches  You'd have to wade through a lot of crap to find your answer.

On the flipside, a couple of the results on the first page of the search have that "first trip" or "new to Ibiza" type of title so perhaps one might guess that there's a similar question in there.

oooh harsh! remember sometimes also that people will use a question as an ice-breaker to "join" into discussions in the forum. you cant always just jump into a clique and start talking, well i know i don't anyway! if you think they're rude, dont read the post. its a public forum!

 For being guilty & facecious
 For the humour throughout this thread
 Surely to god you must really some understanding of dress code etiquette.

Villa party+Space+DC10+Bora Bora= Me in boardshorts and skate shoes or sandals the whole time :)

Boy or girl you should dress comfortably obviously depending where your going and the dress code (if any)....
