Ok, so before people start saying "just go with the flow, off the cuff is better" etc I'm just posting this purely to see what other Spotlighters think.

I've booked 1st - 5th Oct but Afterlife/Privi's closing announcement has thrown me a bit.

So Monday 2nd is Cocoon locked-in - no chance it'll be anything other than this.

I really wanna do the Cocoon afters on 3rd too (my actual bday) I'm guessing if they change things up this year it'll end up being Cova Santa?? Would make things easier for me if it was the Zoo as the rest of my party want to do that on this date (I'm not fussed).

I also want to do Pacha 1 night of the hol.
I'm both a Maceo and a Solly fanboy, so either is an option. But I don't really wanna do Pacha twice. So...

1st - day we arrive - Defected at Eden or Solomon at Pacha

Guessing both will be banged out now.

3rd - won't want to do Pacha again if we go +1, so... what else?

4th - last night - gotta be big. Similarly to the above, do we really wanna do Amnesia (Hyte) a second time after Cocoon? So what are the options?

Tell me your schedule and justify your reasons!
 
cocoon afters might end up being at beni park again maybe. I´m not sure. I thought they´d change things and maybe they do, but am not so sure about that anymore as I was a while ago.

as for the rest...I understand your dilemma. as said in other thread, the afterlife/privi closing is set to be one of the closings of the year IMHO.

on other events...3rd october you´ve got tini and the gang at underground if that´s your thing...but after cocoon AND afters, I personally am ready for bed.

4th october is warriors at sankeys which could turn into sankeys´last party of the season maybe - not sure on this at all though.
 
You could be right about Tuesday night being time for bed!
I think whether we hit Cocoon afters will ultimately hinge on the majority of our group having a good time at Cocoon proper - which has multiple factors other than the night being sublime as we know it will.

Warriors on Wednesday is a good shout though.

It's the Sunday/Tuesday plans which are most in the air.

Hearts say Maceo... but acknowledges Solomun will be the better night musically and in terms of atmosphere.

Head says... I'll regret going to Defected. Tough one
 
why don´t you wait until the acid sundays party at heart has released its line up. that might be another option for the sunday.
 
oct 1 Ibz spray ocean beach (never been to this party, the only thing im afraid, shitty commercial rnb spread there among house music)?atzzaro festival (never been to this event including many stuff outside music, add drummers) + Blue Marlin ibz (along best ibz experience)or/and acid sunday at heart (heart host good parties)
oct 2 Hed kandi closing (House music vibes) ocb Dc10 circoloco+cocoon closing (no need to explain this combo)
oct 3 Zoo project daytime party (along best ibz experience)+ Mosaic Pacha closing ( i didnt do this party )
oct 4 Hyte Closing , I need more hyte free goodies :lol:
 
If cocoon closing after is at benimussa park on the Tuesday where will zoo project be? Or will there just be none? or will they be combined?

Cocoon closing afters won't be announced until at the earliest 24 hours beforehand - so that information is TBC at the moment ;)

I presume any tickets purchased for Zoo Project would still be valid but you'd be entitled to a refund. If you bought through Spotlight you could get a refund in any case :)

But this is speculation. I'd rather it was elsewhere.
 
Rumors on Sunday for abit of outdoor partying back for a few hours at defected when its finished? Leave pacha till the tuesday?
 
rumors is too mellow...a lot of standing people...
defected is a wrong choice...no great djs that makes me to go back again after the bad opening experience...
 
you could also do ABODE at sankeys on sunday night - they have just added another date. am just adding it to the calendar as we speak.
 
fly out Oct 4th for 5 days.

5th Destino closing with Solomun- basically flying out for this, liked the venue when i was there in aug and Solomun set was flawless.

6th - toss up with music on part 1 or HS82 Pacha. Still undecided about this, i'm not really into a sausage fest and tbh Carola is boring me with his sets recently.

Labyrinth- hs82 gets quite a bit of stick and his sets are predictable but enjoyable and his sound is somewhat like Steve Lawler was churning out in 2000-05 Problem with Pacha is we have not been since the wife was bitten numerous times with miskito when we were having a meal in the restaurant beforehand, she takes a really bad reaction and it out big time... will need some convincing.

7th Ushuaia closing, hoping for capriati but he's playing a 6 hour set at Fabric- hope the lineup is decent.. Luciano maybe??

sankeys is a club for ravers even i didnt put a step ibz 17 as i went there a lot ibz 16 nearly all days except on sunday...
we ll see if i have mates in as no way to put a step in this club solo...all time ive been to sankeys ibz 16, 7 times at least were solo :confused:, the only time i bring a girl & a boy, she was afraid of the customers and beg for me to go to pacha straight ahead :lol:

Well that's sorted then! Abode Sunday, Cocoon Monday, Mosaic Tuesday, Wednesday curl up into a little ball and think seriously about my life choices
 
So so so gutted to be missing both Afterlife Closing and Destino Closing.

Means I'm gonna have to fly back out especially for +1 Closing :twisted:
