Am i going to struggle to get a beer at night?

yes, as of friday night all the bars, restaurants throughout the island close and the residents go into suspended animation until the end of may 2009....

I have since done a little research into whats going on and now see Space etc is closing down, appreciate this was known about in these parts but im kinda new around here.

Like the idea of everyone going into suspended animation though Just never been their this late in the year and wondered if things close down as all the locals had had enough of the british

there are over 100,000 people who live in ibiza all year round - not only do they like the odd beer at 3am and if the guardia, local police and workers couldn't get their coffee and brandy at 6am all year round there'd be a revolution
