Just wanted to give a little insight behind what went down in the middle of Bushwick Brooklyn yesterday for 12 hours. Besides the fact that there were some slight push backs in timelines for the sets, this was by long and far the best party I have been to in a long time, especially and most important musically. Kristian started off with a 3 hour set from 6 - 9pm and by no means was this in any case a warmup, he totally unleashed and immediately got things going off in the right direction. He dropped the likes of Aprohead - Lets Prance (audioslave and thomas gandy remix), art department - catch you by surprise (&me remix), C.A.R. - Idle Eyes (Roman Flugel Remix) and Coyu - Just Nin (Andre Lodemann Remix). Next up was Dixon from 9 pm - 12 am and he came in with a more groovy sound which I think a lot of people sort of expected after the way Ame played. This was actually excellent because a lot of the people who "just came to party" were weeded out a little bit and made some space more everyone else and this really worked great in my opinion because it served as good segue into what was to come next. From 12 am to around 430 am Dixon and Ame went back to back which was by far and easy the most exciting b2b i have seen in a very long time if not ever. There has been a ton of talk about b2b especially on these boards lately and let me just say these two guys are just so musically in sync with each other its ridiculous. They were not only just in sync but selection was amazing and you can tell they were just having the best time, dancing like clowns, drinking, and really enjoying the party. They played the likes of Metronomy - Love Letters (Agoria Remix), Angel Moraes - Welcome to The Factory, London Grammer - Sight (Dennis Ferrer Remix), and of course Franky and Scandrino - Acamar just to name a few I can remember as I was pretty exhausted at this point. I give the City Fox crew a lot of credit for letting the Innervisions crew really take hold of this party and let them do as the pleased. I think its the closest we will probably ever get to a true Lost in a Moment party around here and I will say this party far exceeded my expectations and was more than I think anyone could have asked for. Its going to by far be the party of the summer in new york and its going to be tough for anything to compare to the 11+ hours of music they laid down.
