Circoloco - What kind of music??

Group of 6 of us have a villa in ibiza town, July 17-22.
Last year we did Zoo project, cream @ amnesia, hed kandi, ibiza rocks, bora bora.
This year the lads tick list is Pacha FMIF, Ocean beach friday, We love disclosure @ space, and monday circo loco.
Question I have is what music will be playing at circo loco? Some people say deep bassy house, others tell me its kind of minimal.
We all recently went to Snowbombing and I just wasn't impressed with the Martinez brothers, and then we all went to southport weekender recently and walked out midway through Seth Troxler and also midway through the Martinez brothers again, minimal tech, repetitive beats and the odd little bing bong!!!
Nothing against that music, it just doesn't get us moving, we are more into House, bass, uplifting beats etc.

But because Circo loco has this iconic aura, we kind of want to go.
Also what is the best time for circoloco to be kicking off as I heard it starts at 4pm??

I was thinking Circoloco 5-midnight, then off to Sankeys for Duke Dumont & Waze & oddysey after
 
a lot of the stuff you hear at dc10 will sound like the sets you've heard from the martinez brothers and seth troxler. there are a few exceptions which might be a bit more melodic, but if you didn't enjoy the martinez brothers twice and seth troxler once, i'm not sure you're gonna like circo loco.

^^ agree. If FMIF & Disclosure are your bag then it's very unlikely you'll enjoy Circo loco. A lot of people go there because they think it's the place to be, when in reality it's only the 'place to be' if you're a good match for the place. And if you're not into deep/tech stuff musically it's unlikely to tick the boxes for you. I'm not into Guetta and would definitely give Pacha a swerve on FMIF nights because I know I won't be enjoying the sounds and therefore won't be making a positive contribution to the atmosphere for everyone else. There's nothing worse for the people who do enjoy stuff than to be surrounded by others who don't.

I hear a lot about the 'try everything once' philosophy, and there's something to be said for that, but in a way this just leads to a steady stream of curious 'one-timer tourists' rather than real enthusiasts at certain clubs which in turn makes those enthusiasts stay away. It's a self-fulfilling cycle which leads to iconic nights descending into tourist attractions. We've seen DC-10 go there more and more over recent years especially in peak season and with so much choice on offer there's enough for everyone to get something of what they want musically, pretty much every night. :) ;)
 
I went to southport and me and the mrs could not get in to seth but I think as he followed Derek carter I was in the mood for that sound and seth was a bit dark deep and techy enjoyed mb though I will be going to circo loco when I go Ibiza I just was not into that sound at spw not saying I don't like it but just not right place and time for some..
 
Also remember Paradise is NOT always on the Terrace, mainly in the Main Room. That's a deal breaker for some people!

Altough it's my 4th time to Ibiza, never been to DC10 so i don't know the differences between the terrace and the maim room...

Opening will have both rooms open. Some of the acts on that will be pretty techy - Steve lawler, waff etc but a lot of housier names as well - move d/ Derrick carter/Michael Mayer and depending on how guti plays he could get melodic as well (better when he doesn't IMO) Craig Richards could play anything haha
 
If you don't like the Martinez Bros then you probably shouldn't go to Circo Loco...the homies play a great mix of classic vocal house tunes and techno/tech house beats. You may get some people playing housier and others more tech but those guys are as middle of the road as you can get.

Thanks for the details! Im quite open for many types of deep/tech house so i guess most of it will suite my ears :)
After 2 nights of techno (Cocoon, Carl Cox) and before Enter opening, I'm ok with some melodies and funky tunes.

If your going to those nights you'll be fine!

Absolutely spot on with that post, if I don't feel the music I'm not going to have a good night. Zoo project was similar last year, heard amazing things about it, but the music wasn't for us.
Southport was a bit strange, MK and Carl Cox absolutely tore the roof of southport weekender everyone going nuts, but troxler and Martinez brothers was weird, the place was packed, but everyone was stood still, within 30 mins of their sets, people were leaving in droves!! Don't know if I caught them on a bad night or not.
