Circoloco @ DC10 2013

Dc10 was ridiculously busy on Monday. We got there at about 8pm and took us about 30 mins to walk to the bar, then another 30 mins to get a drink. Then about 49 minutes queuing for the toilet. Had enough and left about 11pm. Never again! The space closing on Sunday blew it away I doubt I'll ever go to dc10 again
 
Didn't think it was as busy as the opening party last year, also helped with garden being open longer- so not as crammed inside. Maybe more numbers wise, but room to dance etc. We arrived T 5 ish no queue, didn't struggle to get a beer all night and never waited longer than 15 mins for toilet inside or out, timed because I remember it taking longer last time at openings! Left around 4 as other half was tiring, plus her phone and extras had been nicked, still a massive queue outside, 1 in 1 out. Best party we went to this trip.

Just left the free party at destino because we are flying tomorrow morning, and are low on cash! Mainly older, stylish pasha crowd- but everyone seemed to be having a good time. Tensnake playing some decent vocal stuff, big lines of traffic heading towards venue on taxi ride home.

Get back to an email from ryan air saying because of French air strikes might be delays. Think I remember them not flying at all last time.... Brilliant
 
I would completely agree with Claretclubber. Been to 3 out of the last 4 closings and the opening in 2012 and this was by far the most "comfortable" - although I arrived at 6pm and left at 5am - when it got crazy busy inside as the otudoor bit started to empty and Carola came on. Until then though was very pleasant - could move about, get drinks easy in the outside bit and again get to the loo in 10-15mins in the outside bit whilst always having a few inches of space around you to cut some shapes.

Went to the after party at La Sal. Enjoyed it albeit a bit quiet. Was there till about 4am and was going strong with about 70-100 people who has moved inside. Had a mate at the private villa party in Es Cavallet who came to La Sal as said was not great.

Also went to Destino - again agree. Fun and cheesy in a good way for that type of closing do. Really nice venue and loads of space to move around. Heard the Cocoon afters there was awesome even if hard to imagine in a Ushuaia lite type venue. Few people kicked onto Underground after which they said was fun!

Outdoor bar's can be shit, but I always order in the far bar in the main or the little one in the corner of the terrace. Spend most of the time in the main room (w!ld, cirillo) and the garden. Left too early (again...) around 3 because of sore feet.
 
I waited for 3 hours outside to try pay on the door and gave up because they were not even letting people in!! where as last year i had a ticket and walked straight in? So it must of been busier this year or they just were not letting as many in?

Cirillo was a laugh man:D Nearly everytime he touched the decks he made an arse of it. Think he was pretty burling. Clive Henry kept having to pull the set out a hole (amazingly well) and then listen to Cirillo blaming the equipment.
Well done to DC10, for how rammed it was outside they defo didnt let the place get dangerous inside.

Normally i'm on here moaning about the crushing etc in DC-10 but i honestly thought it was FAR better that the last 3yrs of opening and closing parties i've been to... We arrived at about 6pm i think and went straight for the garden where there was room to throw a few shapes by the right bar... It took only a few minutes to get served each time i wanted a drink... Went into the terrace and again there was easily more room that the last few times which made it a FAR better experience!!!!!! Toilets in the main room took about 20 mins in the queue but i was able to get served by the guy at the bar beside the queue which i thought was only a VIP bar?!?!?! I only asked him in hope of a drink and he sorted it straight away!! :)

It did get a bit packed at the back of the terrace but that was probably because i was dancing in the middle of the back and side doors where everyone was walking back and forth... We left at about 3:00am and went back to the hotel for refreshments and came back at about 5:00am... Garden was still very busy but we went straight for the terrace for Carola and again found room easily.. Not loads of room but not the unbearable crush from previous times!! Went into the main room at about 6:00am to hear Klock, Dettman and then all of Dixon's set which was the best set of the night by a mile!!! Room to throw whatever shapes you wanted to!!! Came back to the terrace after he finished but by this stage i was gone... Lasted until 10:30am at the back listening to Tale Of Us but said to my mates i was going out for fresh air... Practically fell out the door and then nearly fell into a bin so i thought that was my cue to leave... Staggered up the road a bit and found a bit of grass to sit on but was persuaded into sharing a taxi with some random back to PDB...

Whenever the missus or I needed the toilet, mainly used the inside ones, then meet at said bar-which wasn't VIP. 'The rope' for the vip started at the far end of the bar, and their area went to the left, they could also access the bar from the far end.

Be brilliant if they could open the garden bit up for music more often, not sure if it's numbers or noise regulation that stops them? I'm no sound expert but seen people on fb complaining about sound quality, anyone agree or disagree
