is giuseppe nuts ?

29 ****ing euros for some silly sardines :?:

ps:
does this place stay open in winter or do they just (try to) grab the "summer-money" :?:

yeah it's not so much the sardines that bother me, but 10€ cover, 10€ for a coffee etc...a pasta dish 45€ etc - ridiculous!

surprisingly, the wine is (in relation to the rest) actually decent at 50€

if they're gonna stay open in winter, they'll have to cut the prices half, no one is going to pay these prices in winter.

On first entering Guiseppe Cipriani's Downtown Ibiza restaurant, diners are confronted by the library that houses a magnificent collection of lifestyle books. Among them is to be found the legendary tome by Giuseppe's father Arrigo Cipriani, entitled "IL MIO HARRY'S BAR -- Le ricette e la leggenda," an excellent collection of recipes featuring classic dishes from Harry's Bar, including carpaccio and the Fegato alla Veneziana. Giuseppe is talking about the history of the Cipriani empire and chef Tito Piazza kindly offered to set out Arrigo's wonderful Fegato recipe for the viewers of Ibiza Style TV and gives some top tips on how to prepare it.

That wine is about 20 Euros a bottle from a merchant's so agree not as much of a rip-off as the rest. 65Euros for a Beef Fillet is the one which gets me ... maybe if it was topped with whole Black Truffles but seriously ?!! 40Euros tops for sure for that.

I wouldn't mind paying for a decent Bellini off the Ciprianis, but I'm afraid I'm wholly unconvinced on the gastronomic front :!:

Quiet clever IMO.... if hes able to charge that rate and get certain people to pay it

Its an age old Island tradition, that a fool and their money are easily parted
