Which hotel ?

Hey, I'm going solo on August 22-26.. It's my first time and I'm confused about where to stay.. I need a place where i can feel im in the middle of the action even when im going back to my hotel (i don't wanna feel secluded) !
my options are:

1. La Noria
2. Mare Nostrum
3. Algarb

What do you think ?

I haven't been to La Noria, Mare Nostrum is lively but a 10 min walk away from PDB, Algarb is lively and very close to the action.
 
Thx jack for your reply.. and for Mare Nostrum and Algarb as hotels, would you recommend any ?
 
go for the Algarb right on the beach front.start of shops and bars.taxi rank just across the road.busstop right outside.5 min stroll along beach to boro boro.
 
Zee, I've stayed in La Noria for the last 3 years. It's pretty decent for what you pay. I went half board last year or at least that's what I was given, I seem to recall only booking "room only" online. Very close to the centre of PDB and it's queit enough when you want to get your head down. I'm in the process of sorting things out for this year and currently leaning towards OK Hotel Beach simply for the price more than anything else.

I'd go for the Algarb. Although it's lively with decent pool and bars at Mare Nostrum, it's more out of the way and the rooms are pretty small. Haven't been in the rooms in the Algarb but heard they're decent and it's right on the beach.

i stayed at algarb 3 times, once at mare hostrum.

dispite both are under same hotel group but algarb is much much better than mare nostrum. maybe better management team

Zee, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you book Algarb for a night?
Also which site did you book your stay?

I am in the process to book my own room for August 29 and 30

Any advice and tips are appreciated :)
 
I'm staying in the algarb from the 8th sept for a week ,we paid £578 for are flights and all inclusive stay I was in the same predicament wondering weather to stay in the mare nostrum or algarb but the reviews for the algarb were far better especially the food ( which I might not eat to much off lol )
So Ill be looking forward to hearing your reviews of it before I head out for a week of madness !!

I stayed in the Algarb twice in 2011. It's a really good hotel for location and cheap considering you are on the beach in pdb. Food was decent enough and the measures were ridiculous so no complaints there. Most of the rooms are sea view too.

The mare nostrum is a bit further away from the action. It don't look too hot either so you've made the right choice. I'm going back to Algarb in a couple of months...
