awwwI loved Seb Coe and Daly Thompson... my inability to be a sports person put paid to that though!!! I have raced against Paula Radcliffe... and when I say against I mean we both did the Great North Run... she did it in half the time I did!!
One of my big heros was the manager of our local pool. He was so cool, he could dive in the shallow end and swim for length and length. I always wanted him to notice my swimming but I never even saw him smile.
Eventually, when I worked for social services I met him again; in a wheelchair with multiple scelrosis.
It gave me the inspiration to follow my dreams in everything I do.

I've always been into that androgyny thing that Pete Burns and the like do so well...society just can't cope with it and I love people that challenge gender stereotypes.
...It's not for the gay connotations at all if I might add.
(and no, for the record I'm not a tranny - just haven't found the correct stylist yet!)
