Chewie - Houseworks@rhythm factory review!

Last night was without a doubt chewie's best performance to date. I got to RF at about 11ish after mincing around whitechapel forgetting where the place was. Met up with chew and his mates in the front bar just as he was preparing himself. We went through to the main room a short while after and there was a small crowd around the bar and seating but noone was dancing yet. The 2nd room was closed off at the point (damn good idea!! take note buckley!) so everyone that came in was populating the main room :)

Chew stepped up and played copyrights remix of kathy brown for his first tune. The mix was a bit shaky but it was his first of the night and using alien equipment so its to be expected. More people started to come in and i think he dropped afrocatalans after that. Mix was good and the crowd started to merge onto the dancefloor. Our chew was startin to get into it, doin a bit of clapping and singing along, it was good to see. A little while later he dropped atfc's papa was a rolling stone.... I dislike this tune tbh... Some people loved it some people decided they'd check out room 2 now it had opened. The dancefloor wasnt as busy now but still reasonable. Chew dropped a remix of 'will I' and it started to bring people back onto the floor again. A couple more tunes and chew was enjoying it again, the floor was busy and he was singing & clapping again! He dropped a remix of 'libre' and it went down a treat! Some nice filtering effects goin on with the Eq's like he promised too. It was a hands in the air jobbie for most people, good stuff! After this he didnt really put a step wrong. He teased the crowd with the odd floorfiller but did a good job not to go anthemic so it left somewhere for the following dj's to go. His last track was some hoxton whores track, cant remember which one but the crowd were going nuts for it...... Just his luck though, the next dj was getting all the cred for it the effin poser!!!

I had a pretty good nite in all, I had to go up on my jonas so i was a bit worried it would be crap but 'music is the drug' as they say ;)

Oh and... Chewie was getting a lot of attention from the ladies after his set. Nice !!!

Wahey! Go Chewie!

Apols for not making it - had to pop into Turnmills to see someone and then had to fit for footy the next day but very glad it went well. 8)

Nice set from Chewie! Got the place moving, from an empty floor with everyone lurking by the bar, to a full dancefloor at the end of the set. 8)

The remix of 'Will I' was the highlight for me, as dam0 said that defo got the crowd going, and the 2nd to last tune, Sixty Four - On a Good Thing, a lot of hands in the air for that one 8) :D

Can't really comment on the rest of the night as left soon after Chewie finished due to my mate's extreme drunkeness ...

Good job mate, and cool to meet you, if only very briefly ...! ;)

In the fifth video extract, what is the second tune called which Ross mixes in after Freaks. I have heard it loads of times but just can't remember the name.
