Cheese!

I know this is the ultimate of cheese but.......

DJ Sammy Night is Es Paradise, I quite fancy the thought of it as a light-hearted night were we don't have to travel too far, as we are staying in San Antonio Bay. Me and my boyf are in debate about it though, he hates the idea as we went to Es Paradise the last time we were in Ibiza and hated it.

Does anyone have an opinion about this night? Any good at all????

lots of people will have an opinion Dawn...

Mine is avoid Es Paradis at all times... Even Slinky was poor there. And on a DJ Sami night? Never been so can't tell you first hand but I assume he'll be playing his own music a lot so I wouldn't suggest it as a wise choice! ;)

Said it before and I'll say it again, Es Paradis as a venue is very nice and certainly unique. Theres nothing like walking out of a club and being right next to the sea ( ok so theres Space! ) It is a great shame that a decent night is not staged there, although I think this may be down to concerns from promoters of it attracting ' the wrong crowd'.

If your going to go, I think your best bet would be for a water party, although you will prob be surrounded by 18-30' lot!

Definitely wont be attending said night

went to the water party the last time i was there and didnt like it so dont think i will be going to see dj sammy especially as i will be going to Underwater at pacha the 1st tuesday there and carl coxs' opening party at space the 2nd tuesday :P :D

Yeh I think I will probably be avoiding it....i don't think I could cope with spending so much money and having a rubbish night! Think I will just stick to what I know! :D :P

i bet this night will end up being free in after a few poor weeks, a few of es paradis nights ended up being free cos noone ever went.

i wont be going even if it is free and they have a free bar all night, forget it, take me to pacha!!

I was dragged in there for free last summer or the year before and left after 30 secs. Night was called Euphoric or similar was empty. I kinda knew it'd be a brief visit but I just wanted to see the inside.

The photos from it's open air days suggest it was quite special way back when...... (cue McPhoto :D )

They need to do something totally different, I don't know quite what, but something that all the other ones haven't thought of before, and it really doesn't say much for a club if they are letting people in free when other clubs are charging 30-40 euros!! :?

...like Paella parties?!?

I like the club itself, but the nights are poor, and the crowd tend to be the less-bothered ones, who don't care as much about the music...still if are prepared for less class, less good tunes, less nice people, it can be good fun

I had a blinder in there 5 years ago and again in 2001 it was rammed and the crowd to seemed "almost" similar some of the better clubs.

I got pulled in their last year for Euphoric and it was empty and some people had paid 40 euros to get in 8O

The whole thing is 1st time to ibiza the vibe gets you and most places seem great. But then the more you go back the more your tastes develop as you discover what suits you.

I never went to Space or Pacha until last year and they are my two top places in the list of re-visits for this season. ;)

I didnt go myself last year, but other people said DJ Sammy wasnt as bad as you might imagine. Yes, he played cheesy trance, but very few of his own tracks, and as a DJ he was apparently pretty good. The crowd though was made up entirely of completely wasted lads (the football shirt wearing type), and slappers looking for a shag. Basically the people just on holiday for the 3 S's and not the music.

But thats just what I was told...

Well that sounds interesting......very different!! I wonder what kind of clientele that would attract...... :P

Quite a few years ago (late eighties early nineties) Es Paradis was a definate club not to miss, 'Black & White' & later 'Clockwork Orange' were main nights. As Ibiza became busier and there became 3 or 4 different nights on each night, Es Paradis seemed to loose it's way, that coupled with Eden springing up.

Shame really as it's a top club...And how can people prefer Eden? you might as well be at any 'Ritzy' style club in the UK

...an 'interesting' one to say the least I would imagine, i'm sure it involved them making one big huge paella and then everyone was free to help themselves and...erm, well...eat it and throw it at other people and stuff

...wonder what it'll be this year, I was thinking along the lines of a water (only swap the water for milk) party combined with...
