Hi all,

Just wondering, what bar would you recomend ... in both San An Bay ... and the west end

which is both Cheap ... and full of entertainment ... in either which you could use to warm up your night ... or got blotto thier

Best bar for clubbers we found was BN3 in the Bay. Funky house all night then onto the club where you always bump into people from the bar.
6 euros for a pint of vodka red bull :D

I was thiking cheap ... lol hey i only work part time you know .... but then agen a pint of vodka redbull would floor me

any places like all you can drink for 6euro or sumat daft

if you want drinks, go to the offy first hand, stock up in ya hotel room and head on out. there aint no where 'cheap' in san an or the bay, probably the best bars to go would be the "BULL BARS", where theres a rodeo bull for all to be entertained. theres one around the corner from summum, one by BAR M and theres one by the square at the top of the west end. We found these bars to be the cheapest, but i dont recall much music at these places.

i think you'll probably find that at least 90% of the bars in this area serve drinks at a fraction of the price of wherever you live. not only that but you'll get at least 3 times as much in a measure of spirits, and your wine will be from a bottle rather than a tube under the bar.

however if you still prefer sitting in your hotel room with a few bottles good luck to you and enjoy your holiday.

Stephen, I hope you're not trying to say that Ibiza drink prices, even in San An Bay, are a "fraction" of what they cost anywhere else, unless that fraction is 19/20 or 99/100! Cheaper than London, definitely, but not by a whole lot when you compare places like M and your average pub. The side-street bars in Playa den Bossa are somewhat cheaper.

The alcohol content of drinks is, however, a fair bit better than in the UK (not as good as here in Russia).

Agreed that sitting in your hotel room is not a good option.

i would be barmy to go in bar m. an overpriced, over-hyped hell hole with ridiculous prices. when i said 90% of bars i was automatically ignoring the rip off sunset places.
i think paying 3 euros for a whisky/coke or bacardi/coke is a fraction of uk prices especially when you consider that you get a measure at least 3 times bigger. i can't speak for russian prices as i've never been but my wife keeps me in touch with the awesome amounts she has to pay for a glass of nondescript wine in britain when she's over there.

my tip, as always when choosing a good bar or restaurant is....
if you see loads of local people in there then there's sure to be something good about it. if it's recommended in dj mag avoid it like the plague.

We always used to go to the off licence, buy a few beers/smirnoff ices, sit on the rocks near Mambo's and watch the sun go down 8)
When you're nicely p1ssed, then move onto the bars ;)

For mixed drinks and wine, maybe that's true. I'm admittedly more of a beer drinker. I can't think of time I've ever had a beer for under 3 Euros even in non-touristy bars, and that's usually for 330ml. 3 pounds buys you a pint, which is 33% larger. Not sure how that all calculates, but it's not a major difference.

a beer should cost you about 1 to 1.30 euros for a small one and about 2 for a pint. earlier today i spent 2.20 euros on a small beer and a cafe con leche. i once paid 3 euros in sugar sea for a half and i've never been back.
there are only certain bars which cost a fortune - and you all know where they are!!

BN3 is wicked, and the guy who ran it (Si I think his name is) is a top bloke. Defo going to check it out again this year. (it moved across the road last summer)
We got f**king smashed on pints of vodka red bull in their the other year while dj'ing for him.

the bn3 bar was featured quite a lot last year on the bbc programme about mallorca and ibiza "passport to the sun"

Where can you recommend? Would quite like to visit a nice wee local busy bar not too far from the rest of the others…..and one also on the PDB side?

a stone's throw from the sunset strip is my favourite bar Villa Manchega.
it's cheap, it's local, it's busy.
good beer, good wine and good food from tapas to main courses.
it also complies with spanish noise regulations by having 4 tellies all showing different programmes and a bank of tune playing fruit machines and is a favourite with real madrid supporters when their games are shown on the box.

it's on the roundabout by the health centre on the road to cala grassio

Theres nowt wrong with stocking ya selves up with drinks and sticking on the getto-blaster to warm ya selves up before headed out on the town..im on about having some tea around 5/6pm, then drinking on the balcony to keep the price down until around 11pm, then hitting the pre-bars/clubs..i dont think anyone goes out sober, its just tooooo dear to start ya night that way..
