Champions League

Dom ran up the toilet at the whistle last night and I actually called him back to ask why Liverpool were so happy when they lost.

Cue Dom -

Well done celtic, im sure your fans are very proud of that performance.

Thought United werent great, but did just enough, you'll miss Larsson!!

Real's game was entertaining, they deserved to go out though.

As for Arsenal, they have to put away those chances!!

I was lucky enough to be at the Arsenal game and I have to say there couldn't have been more of a contrast between last night and last years final in terms of quality.

Arsenal really stuttered and overplayed the ball so many times when they should have just shot for goal.PSV were so negative in the first half that they clearly had a game plan a which meant for a pretty boring first half, however once Arsenal scored they showed they could attack and the game completely changed.

A bit like Barca the night before I think all the Arsenal players were below their usual best and on the night the better team progressed.

Just back from Milan, tired, hungover but 200% proud to be a Tim....there can be no denying that Celtic fans are the greatest fans in the world, 20,000 in the San Siro last nite and not a whiff of trouble,i can't think of any other club who would have travelling support like that...the AC fans clapped us at the end and threw their scarves into us which was a nice gesture.

As for the game, well we were robbed pure and simple, we were denied a cast iron penalty , a blatant handball and the cu*t of a referee doesn't award us a penalty :x i couldn't believe it nor could any Celtic fans who seen it,no one gave us a prayer going into last nites game but we played a very good game against one of the best sides in Europe, our passing and movement was excellent, what let us down was actually attempting to score goals,Strachan should've played 4-4-2, instead of 4-5-1, it was only in extra time he went 4-4-2 and that was too late.

I myself got a ticket off a mate of mine, the usual garbage about not to travel unless you've a ticket and the Milan Police saying that tickets were not being sold to Celtic fans was comical, i don't know of one Celtic fan who went there who actually didn't get into the ground, it all worked out well though as credit to the Milan stewards they put all Celtic fans together, and as i said not a whiff of trouble, if that was Rangers or certain English teams they would've wrecked the place.

Asides from that shocking decision from the referee i've no complaints, we more than matched Milan on the pitch, we again done ourselves proud, but at this stage , it's quite clear that in order to compete at this level we are seriously going to splash the cash, the board NEED to realise this, we can do this year in, year out but if we are actually going to be with a chance of winning it we need to spend money on world class players, we've a good squad but if the truth be known no real players you could term as being world class.

Milan's a cool city bit shocking expensive, one of the most expensive in Europe for beer8O met a lot of sound people, but fu*k me they are a right bunch of posers, never seen so many people wearing designer sunglasses in any one city (even when it was lashing rain8O:lol:)

Good luck to them anyway but i hope Man United go on and win it now (i await the usual shi*e from the usual people )

HAIL HAIL;)

PS-Lost my credit card as well, some cu*t obviously found it and spent money, thankfully there wasn't much money on it.

The accident happened on the Via Santa Sofia

A Celtic fan has died after a collision with a taxi ahead of the team's Champions League clash in Milan.
The British Consulate General said Raymond Donnelly, 36, was crossing the Via Santa Sofia when the accident happened at 2330 local time on Tuesday.
British consular officials confirmed that he hailed from Glasgow. Next of kin have been informed.
Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper said Mr Donnelly died at Niguarda Hospital.
'Consular assistance'
Thousands of supporters of the Scottish club have descended on the city to watch Celtic play AC Milan at the San Siro in the second leg of their Champions League tie.
Joanne Yeadon, press officer at the Milan consulate, said: "We can confirm that a British citizen was killed last night in a road traffic accident at 11.30pm involving a taxi.
"Next of kin have been informed. My colleagues are dealing with the authorities and offering consular assistance."
A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office said: "A British national was run over by a taxi last night. He was taken to hospital but unfortunately died."

Bottle thrown at a bus containing media representatives?

more than matched - with them having more than 3 times the attempts on goal?

i like celtic, in fact i like celtic a lot and everything to do with the club. but why you feel the need to be so provocative in celebrating having good fans i don't know. having a dig at rangers or some english football fans doesn't enhance the reputation of celtic fans, it just makes you sound like you've got a massive chip on your shoulder.

anyone whose opinion is worth anything won't respect celtic fans who behave themselves and do a credit to the game BUT then stick their tongues out at everyone else/go "my daddy's better than your daddy".

It was just a passing reference, i haven't got a chip on my shoulder at all quite the opposite in fact, it's quite rare to get such a large group of fans theesedays and no trouble at all (no Celtic fans threw any bottles either like someone said)

Anyway if it annoys people ill not mention it anymore,.

Feel so sorry for this poor man who got knocked down and killed, how awful is that:cry:
